I had extremely high expectations from the place, I Ubered to reach this place. The menu seemed good, but the atmosphere was not so good. It’s really dull. I ordered my food and the most shocking part was that they do only cash. I mean for a order of 15$ I am suppose to carry cash in today’s cashless world. That is the worst thing I could have asked for at this place. The food is pricey, go to any other Mediterranean place, you will fill up your stomach for a little less money. Yes they do have good taste but still it is expensive. Anyway. I hope they add the credit card machine.
Wonderful hospitality by the owner. She is such an amazing individual. Ash is so delicious. Make sure to bring cash and order Ash.
It’s a good place for a quick bite. Very hard working people with an old-fashioned family-owned restaurant. The dining area needs a bit of an upgrade. It’s a bit cramped and not so cozy. The food was awful, but that’s just me. I’m a bit picky about Persian food. Not the worst Persian food, but comes very close. Our food didn’t taste fresh and seemed to be warmed up. It might’ve been their off peak season and hour. Probably won’t visit them soon, however, will keep an eye on them for a better future.
I came here for lunch as I was curious to try this place. I had the chance to visit Iran a few years ago and was amazed by the hospitality of the people there and the great food. This all is reflected in this restaurant. The woman at the counter I suppose she’s the owner and chef was very welcoming and kind. The food is simply delicious and you can taste the love of the people for their culture. I will definitely come back here regularly!!
I rarely if ever write a review, but I really feel compelled to share my bad experience. Got here on a Saturday night, place was empty but I didn’t think twice about it. A small old fashioned place, however they are very over priced for below average mediocre food that, in my experience, was even not cooked properly. We ended up ordering a total of about 8 plates lamb stew, chicken curry, chicken biryani, and mixes of the kabob. The portions were very small, not nicely presented, rice barely even cooked. It felt like they had mixed old rice with some new rice that was quickly cooked if at all. Overall, a very disappointing experience. And now I understand why the place was empty. It may have been a good place in the past, but currently, I am sorry to say but it is awful.
I don't understand why the rating is low. Great place to try Persian food, if you like kebab. The lentil soup is great. And if you wanna go big. Get the rice plates with a choice or kebab, beef or chicken. The place is closed on Sunday. Sometimes they only accept cash.
Better than ever after 20 years. THIS IS A MUST FOR ANY FOODIE. I learned about great Persian food many years ago. At that time, this restaurant was mostly a chelo-kebab place. Fantastic kebab in the unique style., which I enjoyed. With the demise of many Persian restaurants in the USA the wave of post 1979 immigrants is getting older this one stands out not just because it held up quality but even got better. The original owners are still here and now offer a full Persian menu. Enjoy.
This place... it has the potential to be great. I must have gone on an off-night because they were out of a whole bunch of items.... They only accept cash . The location is convenient. The food is mediocre. Definitely do not get the lamb roll up. It has 3 littles pieces of lamb and it’s $13.95 no sides or anything of the sort for that price. The cherry rice with chicken was decent but the chicken was over cooked so it was very dry. The highlight was the Persian ice cream with rose water and pistachios- however it tasted freezer burnt. The lady working behind the counter was aloof but she warmed up as the night went on.
I always get the same dish because it’s perfect and amazing so I can’t comment on their overall menu. However, they’ve lost a star because the two times I’ve gotten that dish to stay, the serving was literally half or a third the size of the takeout serving. I’m upset that I pay the same price whether staying or going but definitely don’t receive a filling amount when staying in. I love their lamb stew and will be back, but I won’t be dining in again.
Food is overpriced. The rice was boiled, not cooked the way persian rice is supposed to be. The lamb stew was more like a shorba. Tasted good but the food was mediocre at best and also the food does not match the description. Kashke bademjan had no eggplant in it. Still trying to figure out why it was in peanut sauce.
