Modell's Sporting Goods

I have been going to this location for many years but never thought to write a review. It's actually a good thing, because they have gotten so much better lately. For one thing, they took over a store next door & have expanded. I've also noticed a wider variety in the items that they now sell. I saw jeans being sold there for the first time the other day, which happen to be $15 cheaper than the exact same pair I'd bought elsewhere. The employees are really nice & go out of their way to assist. If they don't have something in stock, they will order it for you. Their prices are more than reasonable, and parking is never an issue since they're located in a huge lot. They also have fitting rooms, and long hours. I really can't think of anything negative to say, so I definitely recommend this location.

Been shopping at this Modells for many years, always has what I need for either myself or somebody else. Nice selection of running clothing in several brands. This store is always neat & in order. Staff are very helpful. Lots of cashiers so the waiting time is minimal. Perfect if you're looking for gifts for those men in your life that enjoy wearing sports related clothing !!

They were the place to go for all of your sporting goods needs. Unfortunately they are going out of business. The selection was good at one time. I purchased most if not all of my weight lifting Supplies. They had an amazing selection of workout benches and free weights. No longer the case. I would also buy all of my athletic clothes as well. Too bad they stopped carrying Russell Athletic. Check them out before they are gone.

They renovated this store, it's bigger and more organized now. Staff will guide you to the right place if you ask. I couldn't find what I was looking for though, they didn't have a lot of choices... Other than that, the parking lot is huge and more stores are next door, there's food as well in the shopping center, and coffee. Happy shopping!

This Modells can make you feel claustrophobic due to the way they cram in so many aisles and products. That said, the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They offer a wide range of sporting goods at decent prices. This store also offers similar sales to those at the rest of this family owned chain.

I don't want to kick a company that's down and on their way out Modells recently declared closing down but this location has never been friendly or have good customer service. There are a few employees who are nice but the majority are very sour. The worst Modell's in NYC even worse than the Church Ave location. Sad to see the company go down but some locations needed to shut down.

They got good stuff but the staff is not the best. They are disorganized. I ordered something to the store and they put my item on the shelf with my name and address on the package, like come on people where are your brains, they never even called me when my package arrived at their store. They said they would call me. just get in buy Wat u need and get out, don't expect alot of help from staff

This place used to be so much better. I used to do all my sports shopping here, since I knew I will get the best service and prices. But the last few visits to this location weren't as good as they used to. And last time was the worst: I asked one of the girls who work here if they have a certain item, and she looked at me like I asked for a burrito lol. She answered NO, we do not have it. So I asked again, you do not have it, or you do not know what it is? And she just walked away. All I asked is if they have shirts for people who ride bicycles that has pockets at the back of the shirt.

My car was hit in front if their store while shopping and they wouldn’t pull up the cameras. I spent $750 that day and they wouldn’t do a small thing. At first they didn’t have cameras and told me to go to kohl’s. I did . They told me their cameras aren’t facing that way and modell’s has a camera facing the car. I went back to modell’s and and they then said it’s too dark and the quality isn’t that good. But I’m sure if someone was to rob that place they’d have the guys face clear as water printed and on the front door. I’ve been a customer here my whole life, before me my dad. It’s a shame. If they can’t keep a loyal customer satisfied then what’s the point of shopping here.

On October 5 2018 I was hurt in this store they had a medal stand advising underwear which definitely was not in a proper spot I hit the side of my face which caused a black eye small cut under my eye.i filled out an indecent report with the manager her name was hope and till this day no one had the desinity to reach out to me ,there was a consumer who was kind enough to ask if I needed any help. I'm pretty sure everything was on camera. This location is extremely unprofessional.
