This is a really good way to get around the city without either having to wait for a bus, or for the Q-Line. Certainly cheaper than taking either an Uber or a Lyft, too. Bikes seem pretty well maintained for the most part, also. The MoGo boost e-bikes are an even better option for those of us who don't want our personal e-bikes nicked while visiting the D, which can happen in ANY major city, as well as those of us who might struggle to get a regular bike onto a bike rack of a transit bus. If you have a monthly/annual/access pass, you can ride for an hour before being charged 25¢ per minute. This is plenty of time if you want to ride from downtown to Belle Isle. If you want more time, dock before the hour is up, and then grab another bike. From what I can tell, all the bikes are step-through models, so they're easy to get on and off. The regular bike has a three speed twist shifter, while the MoGo Boost is single speed with pedal assist, has no throttle, and the motor cuts off at 15 mph which is plenty fast for urban riding. Simple to operate for a novice, yet a lot of fun.
I love having MoGo as a reliable public transit option in Detroit! It's convenient when I don't want feel like keeping track of my own bike or taking a Lyft. You can easily bike from station to station in under 30 minutes and if you do so you are never overcharged. I love their new electric Boost bikes!!!
I love MoGo! I use it all the time, and now that I figured out the system it is easy. The first time was a bit confusing but I think the bikes are great. They are sturdy, easy to adjust and ride. I just tried the Boost last night. So fun!!
Total scam! I purchased 2 Daily passes for 8 dollars a piece. Apparently in order to utilize the daily pass, you have to dock the bike every 30 minutes. If your bike is not in a docking station by that time you will be over charged. I paid a total $48 for a 2 hour bike ride! I will never utilize this service again. Such a shame.
No map on their website of the stations and it cost $15 an hour. Also $1200 if the bike is stolen???
MoGo has been my primary method of transportation for over 2 years and it’s only gotten better!
For 18 bucks the seat could be softer!
Great way to get around without having to worry about finding parking for your own bike. I love the convenience and the ability to grab a bike on a whim. Also, I had trouble with the key card I requested and MoGo went out of its way to troubleshoot for me and even hand-deliver a new key card to me in person!
