Monongahela Middle School

First things first, these reviews are invalid as they are from other 7th and 8th graders like myself. Second thing, it's just a middle school. It's not bad, nor is the school OH SO SPECIAL. It's just a school. Chances are if you live in the town, you'll be there.

The school has an average curriculum. It is also not the best place to make friends either. There is a teacher, Ms.Rhone, who never teaches the lesson given to her... she hands out ONLY PACKETS and gossips with her friends. most of the time she talks about students she doesn't like while they are in the classroom and even right in front of her. I had no field trips while in Monongahela and had only 1 : a trip that cost 80 dollars for an all day "cruise" (its really just a small boat with an ice cream machine) and thats it! I had my worst school experience there.

This school really is depressing, and sad. It feels like I’m walking the streets of Compton, California. People see you from the outside and are just so rude, not realizing who you are on the inside. 8th graders keep calling all the 7th graders (little kids, yb’s= Young bouls) I don’t see why when they are only a year apart. Teachers don’t do anything but, tell you to do work, take your phone, or tell you to take your earphones out. There’s no hands on stuff it’s just work work work work work. Like this isn’t military camp. If you live in deptford and your child is in 6th grade and is very innocent, you better second guess and send them to an all girls/ boys private school or better yet homeschool them. They will learn everything that’s inappropriate. People get into fights all the time. Drama is seeping out the walls waiting to grab onto a kid. Bathrooms are so disgusting, pools of period blood on the floor, people writing things about other people on the walls, cockroaches coming out of a drain in the girls locker room, Friends ARE FAKE, god, I wish I had a tattoo that said that. Go ahead make sure your child makes friends, but you better be prepared for your kid to come home, upset, depressed, or doesn’t want to go to school anymore. People date just to date, literally you ask someone out that you don’t even know and they just say yes. I’m just gonna be straightforward, don’t come here. Unless you have no choice or you experienced worse.

This school is horrible. kids getting into fights and so much drama man. The 7 and 8th graders fight WAY to much. This school isn’t such a great place to make friends either. The education is really well though. If your new to deptford i wouldn’t recommend this school.
