I frequently come here to park along the road when I'm going to Old Town. Alexandria. They are usually people playing different sports and activities and having a good time. It's nice to have this park in the area accessible to so many people.
The red spinning cup will absolutely destroy you. I have never been so humbled by a tiny playground fixture. Truly impressive stuff. Also, you get to see planes from like 800m flying low into DCA every 5 minutes. Looks pretty sweet.
One of the most convenient dog parks in old town. Theo wners who frequent the park are generally on top of their dogs and don't allow much, if any misbehaving. You get the random out of town folks or irresponsible owners. Though the vast majority of the time you'll encounter wonderful people and pups! Only negative aspect is the gravel in the park BE READY TO BATHE YOUR NOW GREY COLORED DOGS!
Wonderful neighborhood park for special events, families, kids and dogs! Glorious day for my granddaughter’s 1st birthday party.
We go for the dog park, so that's what this rating is based on. The rest of the area is shaded, with lots of green space, an enclosed, well-shaded playground, and a pavilion. The dog park here is all gravel and only becomes shaded after 3pm.. and even then it's not all that well shaded. Your dog will walk away dirty if it likes to play rough with other dogs. Also once it gets dark, there is no light outside except what comes from the tennis courts.
Nice small park. Has a nice fence in dog park and a nice playground for kids. There is a school near by that brings the kids over to play on the playground during the daytime. In the evenings I've seen groups exercising near the pavilion. The tennis courts have timed lights. The lights have a manual reset to turn them back on.
Nice tennis courts! I've being playing there for several years. But it's sucks that you can't find free space to play tennis because of the meet up group !
Small playground but perfect for toddlers and even little older kids would like it. Has nice tennis courts and dog park as well and the Thursday Farmer's Market is an added bonus.
Nice clean Park. For tennis courts. An enclosed dog park. Plenty of trash and recycling receptacles. A playground for school age children. And a pavilion with a park bench and table. Easily accessible for handicapped. Ample street parking.
Park overall was nice. Only reason why I'm giving it a 4 is because the porta potty had a lock on it and there were no other restrooms around.
