OMGoodness! This food was delicious. Everything tasted like a little piece of heaven. I was able to eat on the servings all night long and it taste the same every time. No change in flavor profile and the staff was wonderfully friendly. Features: They ask that you wear your mask in the establishment.
The food is excellent. The turkey and dressing was phenomenal. The neck bones were excellent . I just have a few critiques... The sweet potato pie does not taste like sweet potato pie, and mine contained potato strings.. The cornbread was very dry and not sweet.. I'm not sure if the ribs were baked or grilled but it was very tough to chew
This is what their pot roast looks like smh It’s looks very uncooked and like some type of dog meat maybe. Not to mention Worse Mac I’ve ever had from a “Soul food” restaurant! If I could put zeros I would. I do NOT recommend this place at all. The cornbread was even terrible I should’ve took a picture of that but I threw it away soons I opened the food smh. For $46.64 I could’ve went to Motor City soul food in Detroit and got better food for that high price. The only item they seem to not mess up was my greens. So for the people who’s spending again I do not recommend especially if you’re going for pot roast or Mac and cheese. To management or ownership if you guys see this. Plz do better taste wise or higher new cooks or find a new recipe because this is terrible. I almost wanna call and get a refund or something. But I’ll take the L today. It’s my fault for trying new stuff instead of sticking to my original place
To leave a review means to be honest about the restaurant. The macaroni was absolutely fantastic. The greens were delicious like how my granny make them and the yams was the best I've ever had. Nice buttery and sweet.. The workers are nice and have great customer service. This is a place to come to for thanks giving for sure if you don't feel like cooking. This is the place to come to when you want a home cooked meal. I am impressed.
My husband and I went to Mookey’s on our lunch break back in October for the first time. Everything was great and the food was So Good That they also Catered half of our Thanksgiving Dinner this year.So if you haven’t gone to mookey’s yet What are you waiting for? Trust me guys You won’t be disappointed
I am impressed. My 1st time eating food from this location. I ordered the Smothered Pork Chop dinner. If you want old-fashioned dressing this is the place to get it from. The dressing is prepared with turkey cooked within the dressing. The Mac & Cheese is on point. I enjoyed how the Pork Chops looked, was not very fond of the chops were not tender. By this I mean, the chops appear to not have been slow cooked in the gravy to soften the chops. Overall, I will come back again.
Purchased dressing on thanksgiving on the same day I was serving it to my family. Purchased at 11:55 am on thanksgiving 2022. It was terrible no taste resembling dressing, no seasoning no appeal but I love dressing so I purchased it anyway. A 1/2 pan cost 70 plus dollars because you were picking it up the same day. I paid $42.00 plus dollars for 2 large cups. No one could eat it I threw away all of it a waste of money. I purchased pork chops when she first open shop they were also tasteless good appeal but taste is not there. I thought I would try her again after all that time. I eat out almost daily so I know what I like or do not like. . I will never return to this place. I will also never refer this restaurant.
Busy and plz be sure to check your order before you leave they are not responsible if you get the wrong order or don't get what you paid for even though they pack the order. So be mindful of that or you may not get what you paid for. It's a small takeout restaurant so prepare to wait calling your order is the same check your food. The food is good . Vegetarian options: You can get plenty of vegetables as a side but no actual meal Parking: In a shopping plaza plenty of parking not always close to the business. Wheelchair accessibility: Yes there is handicap parking but it's shared with the entire plaza so be mindful of that as well
I ordered baked chicken. The chicken was disgusting. Another day I ordered rib tips. They were tough and dry. With the baked chicken I had yams, Mac and greens. The yams was sweet and delicious. The Mac was absolutely delicious and the greens was amazing. At mookeys the meat is a No but the sides is a yessssss
I recently came in and placed 2 orders the people were nice but the food is mediocre. I asked for spaghetti it’s listed as a side. I was served soupy ravioli spaghetti out of a can . It taste horrible even my kids couldn’t eat it . My fish was flavorless as well . The MAC n cheese was the only edible side from this place . Oh and they also forgot to smother my fiancé chicken as An add on but we were charged. I am disappointed.
