A unique latino market with some groceries and foods. Mostly Puerto Rican inspired restaurants serving classics such as alcapurria or rice and beans. This is what makes NYC
The place was clean and lovely. Everyone was really nice And even thought it was empty, the food was good and again the service was cleverly welcoming
Besides all the dirt bags who still sell drugs and hang out at that liquor store few stores down the market will never b like 10 years ago. ...Of course everything changes over time however it's loosing it's Latin flavor......I was pleasantly surprised to see a live Latin band people dancing nobody fighting or arguing .....it was a pleasant site. .. food is fresh and delicious why isn't it always ? Just b cause it's a holiday shouldn't matter....
A little expensive, its worth it, the bathroom is 25 cent and it is very clean. Security, and my real authentic variety of food. Love it,my home. Politicians now have the resources could speed things up.
Nice place to visit and enjoy good moments... It remembers me many locations that I went with my father when I was a child...
Latin America at it's finest
If you want to go back in time for carribean root vegetables like grandma's...get yourself to this spot ASAP! While there, get some alcapurias, bacalaitos, and rellenos de papa in the back restaurant area. You'll see--I'm not story telling!
It was. Spectacular wonderful it was the most greatest time and moment in my whole day of being out and exploring bklyn brung back so much memories of when my mother and father and sons used to go years ago it makes you feel free again and good to be puertorican i will go every week ro see my race of people im proud of them and i hope they stay in this area for years to come because they deserve it they earned it and that area should stay hispanic for ever for the memories they give me. Again thank you very much and the place ahava is second next place to be a wonderful experience
This market specializes in authentic Spanish Puerto Rican ingredients and prepared food. There is also a great old fashioned repair shop for people who like to have their clothes fitted or hemmed old school style.
Great selection of Spanish seasoning, greens, organic etc. They have few good restaurants & even a tailor service. They have security on premises. Also barbers & bathrooms
