Moss Creek Fish House

Not sure about the negative reviews, but I was in there 7/9/2024 and the experience was great. Ordered the 2 platter with fried shrimp and fried catfish with cabbage and fried okra. Miller lite for beverage. Service was really friendly and quick. Food came out very hot and freshly fried. Not a big fan of thin catfish, but was done well. Shrimp were incredible. Cabbage is very simply sautéed in what tasted like bacon fat with no seasoning but was really good. I don’t care about hush puppies but these would be heaven for my wife. I’m from Pensacola and was raised on fried shrimp and this place delivered on the shrimp. Big bonus was that it is a local family owned place and I love that they are doing it right. Ignore the nay-sayers and get yourself into this place. You will not regret it, especially among the corporate trash places that are prevalent in the area.

The fried catfish fillets and grilled catfish fillets were both DELICIOUS! As were the hushpuppies and sides: French fries, coleslaw, green beans, and fried okra! Our waitress was very attentive and came back often to make sure we had everything we needed! The atmosphere is relaxed.Food: 5/5

I’ve eaten here numerous times and not once has the food or service not been wonderful. The thin and crispy catfish is what I prefer and it is on point every time along with sides. And one added bonus is the banana pudding. You wouid think more restaurants in the south would serve this dessert. It is a treat get it when I do dine here. I highly recommend if you want catfish!!!

It's hard to go wrong when you are eating at this local spot. I would definitely suggest that you try their catfish. While I am partial to the thin and crispy, it's all delicious! And for sides, do not miss the onion rings. They pair up perfectly with the Comeback sauce as recommended by Ms Breanne, one of the wonderful servers working there.

EXTREMELY FAST lunch service! The server was prompt, kind, and courteous. The sweet potato was large, tender, and delicious. The okra were plump, soft, and cooked to perfection. The catfish pieces were a little small but very, very tasty. Cooked to perfection! I really appreciate how fast the food came. My only concern was that of the women's bathroom. The door opened right into the second stall, not leaving much room to walk in. There were only two stalls in what appeared to be a very small bathroom. The food and service made up for this!

It was pretty good. I just never been to a fish house that they don't serve fries with ur fish. U have to order it as a side. But these days everybody does things differently.Food: 4/5

We LOVE this place! The fried oysters were the best I have ever eaten! And I eaten a lot of fried oysters! The onion rings are to die for! We ate on our left overs for 2 days! It was so much food and only $25 for the Sampler Platter!Food: 5/5

The fried okra and fried oysters were overcooked, there wasn't much for desert, and we felt like we were being rushed out.Food: 3/5
