I went here for Holy Mass at 9.00am Dec 8th ~ Immaculate Conception; it's so beautiful. The Priest would give Holy Communion on the tounge if you want to. I did it. Really a sacred Church.
Most Holy Redeemer is a great church. The services are done with decorum and the music is excellent, impressively so: case in point being the Sunday English mass that has a choir with around 10 children and 3 professionals singing. The current priest is young and passionate. There are newly refurbished shrines for prayer, one including the full body of martyr killed in Rome which is pretty cool.
One of the nicest in the city, stellar music and masses
Lovely temple, lovely choir. The Priest is very animated and the sermons are well thought out. This is my favorite Catholic Church in NYC so far.
A 2020 Best Wishes to all for a safe, blessed and Happy Easter in the Year of the Rat 4718. The Most Holy Redermer Church located at 175 East 3rd Street and Avenue A is a jewel. The church is nice and compact, but with lots of comfort and well being. I went to the Most Holy Redermer Church for the first time on Sunday, Sept. 1st, and I was immediately at ease upon entering. I recommend this neighborhood church for anyone wishing to zen. Hopped in on Mass 1 day last week, had a great time.
The doors are open for prayer Monday through Friday. You can feel the anointing when you walk in the sanctuary. So powerful it made me cry.
great memories from the 50s going to school and church everyday and being blessed
It is a beautiful church built in 1851. It was restored around 1994. Was used in "The Devils Advocate" for the Eddie Barzoon funeral.
