Check in was a breeze with Bola I arrived a little after 2am. He was great up beat and very welcoming. He works the overnight shift and I'm use to grumpy tired front desk agents but he was happy to see me. I wasn't sure what to expect since the reviews scared me! But I got a room on the lower level close to the office 2 beds and the room was very CLEAN! Since I work in hospitality I always check the mattresses for bed bugs no matter if I'm in a 5star hotel or a motel bugs travel with people so I checked and it was clear! We used the room to sleep and shower. We were out the whole day. Parking was free and SECURE. Security on sight 24/7. There are NO drug dealers outside the hotel. Will return!
This is by far the filthiest, most disgusting Motel 6 I have ever stayed in. There was blood on the back of the bathroom door - never cleaned even after it was brought to the staff’s attention. We saw cockroaches in the room and bathroom. Our room was not cleaned the first day we were there. After this was brought to the attention of the front desk, it was cleaned the rest of the stay, however we were never given enough towels or wash cloths for the 2 people staying in the room. The floor was so filthy that the white socks we wore on our feet did not dare go barefoot looked like we’d walked on asphalt they were so black. Honestly, had we been able to find another room close to our venue, we would have left.
Room was clean, but found a bug on the counter when we first walked in. Toilet not operating properly. Had to turn on the water so could flush it properly. Bathroom sink faucet wasn't connected. Had to reach under the sink and manually operate sink plug so sink would drain. Room was definitely not ready for occupancy. Will not be back.
Ms. Carrie and Ms. Yvette stand out. Now Dave is awesome also and very interactive but hes not the front man. I will tell you that these people are polite, courteous and very accommodating. They will make sure your needs are met. There arent any microwaves or fridge so its not a extended stay, but its absolutely comfortable. I love all of the staff and there is very attentive security on site. The rooms are tidy and the bed is comfortable. The housekeeping team will make sure you have fresh towels and all the items you need. I think you get your money's worth. And feel safe despite the surroundings. Tell them Nicole sent you...they keep the light on for you!
This is absolutely the nastiest hotel I have ever been In. If I could give it a negative 5 stars I would. We checked in and left the room. After being gone for most of the day, we came back to a roach infested room. We killed 5 roaches in less than 5 minutes. The blankets had stains on them. Looked like they hadn't been washed in a very long time. Needless to say we went and got a refund around midnight and found another place to stay. Other reviewsbhace mentioned bed bugs, and I wouldn't doubt that there was. We didn't even get as far as pulling the blankets back to lay on the beds. We had seen enough. We shook out all our belongings to make sure we weren't taking any roaches with us and got the hell out of there. This place needs to be shut down!!!
The room is decent for the price. It was clean, the staff was polite and the bed was very comfortable. My only complaint is that you have to watch the charges to your card. I booked more than 1 room. My receipt says one price but my card was billed just over $20 more. I disputed the charge and later that day when we returned to our rooms, all of our door cards had all been deactivated. The same person that overcharged me the day before was working the desk when we got locked out. When I inquired as to why all of our cards no longer worked, she claimed that they all must've been near a magnetic source and were "all accidentally deactivated". Three different door cards, carried by 3 separate people, under the same reservation were all accidentally deactivated by a unknown magnetic source? I'm not buying it. If you stay here, check your credit card charges.
The front desk people were cheery, helpful, and accommodating. This was a pleasant surprise and a relief when a little after checking in, we had a few issues arise with our room. When brought to the attention of the staff, they quickly apologized and gave us a new room with a smile. This, sadly, isn't normally the case at the majority of Motel 6 locations that I've stayed.
This was not a good experience. I had stayed at a Motel 6 before and it was a good time. The room we got was supposed to be non smoking, but the room REEKED of smoke and had cigarette burns in the comforter. Upon telling the night shift this they said "Sorry but the rooms supposed to be non smoking" and took no action to remedy the situation. The towels were probably the scratchiest I have ever used and the toilet lid in the restroom had been ripped off from another guest. I'm the other room, there was 5 spiders over the course of two nights we had to kill, the toilet water consistently had a yellowish tint to it, and it had a different odor about the room. This stay has absolutely turned me off of Motel 6 and the staff, although busy, needs a lesson in customer service. There was no positivity or any kind of urgency to assist the customers the few times I was in the office. Even placing the reservation was a hassle! I called to place the reservation and was told to do it online, I explained that I needed to get two rooms and was driving and was told that I could do it online again. This should have been an indicator as to how the Motel experience was gonna go, but I let it go at the time to book the rooms. I wish I wouldn't have waited so long to book our rooms because going on a trip to a different city the hotel room serves as a base as to how the trip will go and how well you will unwind for the next days, and this trip did not have that good base that we normally get. Overall I give this a 1 recommendation in case of emergency but wouldn't give a star and can't justify giving any stars due to the poor condition of both the staff and the room. But this survey forced me to give at least 1.
WORST HOTEL STAY EVER If I could I would give 0 stars! I am from California. I booked the hotel for 3 nights, after the first night there. I immediately canceled the next two nights! I woke up with cockroaches all over the counters, on my clothing, on my daughters stuff and on her!! 1month old. I don’t understand how the other people were able to stay there & how this place is still open like that.I believe this motel should be shut down! I had to go buy bed bug spray and disinfectant spray. The room smelled like cigarettes & the sheets where stained, had burnt holes and the last sheet had ink and other spots on the sheets. Even worse, it’s my vacation stay and I had to book a different hotel
Gross. The blankets were covered in stains and burn holes. The towels looked dirty one even had a long hair on it. There were also hairs in the shower. There was only one bar of soap and no shampoo/conditioner. The room also smelled like cigarettes even though it was a nonsmoking room. The bathroom light didn't work properly: I had to turn on both switches to turn the light on. For 20 more dollars, I could have stayed at a much nicer motel. I am appalled. I would have asked for a refund of my reservation and looked for a different motel, but I was so exhausted from travelling and class that I ignored my disgust/apprehension at sleeping in the bed and went to sleep.
