I have to say that I was very impressed with the hotel. The rooms were equally priced to others in the area but were much better. As a 6'1 230 man it is nice to find a tub I actually fit in (they are in every room). The bed was super comfy and they are just overall very nice rooms (if a little dated). The casino seems tight, but you don't go to a casino to win! The food was great at a good price at the diner and the shuttle to events downtown was an awesome free bonus!

Food at hotel/casino buffet was great especially the roasted turkey. We ended up there on seafood night so the price was $50 each. Did not expect that but it was celebrating a birthday so we stayed. We have had dinner here when it was not seafood night and variety seemed bigger. Main server was very good but second server was hard to find for drink refills and had an attitude. Dessert bar was good but not great. MGM has a better dessert bar. Hotel Valet parking is not clearly marked and signs were confusing.

Very comfortable bed. Refrigerator in room was awesome. Bathroom with full tub was excellent. Free valet parking and wifi. Really good buffet too.
Only problem, had to call about dog barking for an hour in room down the hall. They were quick to resolve that issue.
Overall, wonderful and restful stay. Looking to return soon.

My husband is a sought-after lead-guitarist and was asked to play at the casino, so my sister and I decided to hang out with the band. It was a great time, but with our long walks (because I could not bring my pro-cameras to shoot the band and only had my cell to take the photos), we noticed that they had only one gift shop. There really wasn't much to do, especially if you do not play cards or gamble! It was VERY smokey in there, which shocked me, because I haven't been in a smoke-filled place since it was banned in public places.
Overall, it was fun. The Motor City staff,(especially "La Donna" in the coffee/sweets" area) were the best and very professional! The security was very serious about their duties (which I feel is very important) and they were kind about it. Too bad my sister and I couldn't peek into the spa or hotel rooms to get some great pictures to show off here!
What I offer here in photos (at my profile here at Google) is all that I could with a cell phone!
I gave it four stars because of the smoke and the lack of more stores within the building!!

Love this place. Lots of good and fun slots. Lots of bars so you don't have to go far and lots of free drink areas. The food court is awesome. I love Assembly Line(buffet) and the Lodge Diner. Its lots of room for people to just hang out with friends and play a few games, get some drinks, and relax.
