Awesome climb in the Sky Lakes Wilderness area. It is a composite Volcano. It is a steep sided Stratovolcano, in the Cascade Volcanic Arc, in the High Cascades sector of Oregon.

Ok, that was a long day! Trailhead (car) to summit and back 4 times in 24 hours. I tested my body and my mind and came out the other side inspired by this beautiful mountain!

The grueling hike keeps the trail very clean. If you pick your time of year correctly, the trail will be essentially empty, though, so be sure to prepare and be safe. The top would be a fantastic vista, but when I went up, a cloud decided to blanket the peak. Luckily, at treeline, you can see Crater Lake, Shasta, and Klamath Valley, clouds permitting. You don't need to break 8k feet to see a really good view.

Well worth it, slight scramble toward top but nothing overwhelming, beautiful
