I climb Mount thielsen in 1999. It was possibly the hardest climb I've ever done. The last hundred or so feet is called Chicken Rock for a good reason. The views from the top or spectacular and include Diamond Lake. Highly recommended but if you're scared of heights or are not a proficient rock climber this is not for you.

It is an amazing mountain !!! One of the many high peaks in Oregon !! Awesome hike !! Bring extra water.

Up here for unfortunate circumstances (wildland firefighter) but truly is an amazing place. And the people here are nothing short of amazing themselves. Will definitely be a place to visit when I'm not here for work
