NE Fish Cakes 12.99 from @mountvernonsomerville. I have never tried NE Fishcakes before. The outside was nice and crispy, but the inside was more cake than fish and had no texture at all. The M&C was nice and creamy.

Best lobster ravioli ever and I had many. Great deal on a twin lobster that was cooked and cracked perfectly. Very no thrills. Not even corn or backed potato or bread. Still who cares when they make the main dish perfectly for such good value. Will be back and will recomend to all my friends.

Really great service and a nice selection of classic American dishes. Seems like locals enjoy the place and some patrons are well known to the staff. Dinner for two has come with different homemade breads, even what appeared to be pop-overs this last time. Portions are large for me, but standard for the USA. My only complaint is that some of the vegetables are served overly cooked. I would take off a star for that, but they earned a bonus star for being well liked by my plus one. Place has a good atmosphere, some sports screens, etc if you are into that, but also not trendy or stylish, so may not fit expectations of picky foodies.

We had a large party so I called in before we went. When we got there they had tons of room so we were seated right away. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. The seafood we had was good from the lobster to the sword fish all good. The other land items were not as good. This sometimes is to be expected when the focus is seafood. So overall I think this place is a good spot to grab a beer and a seafood dish.

My husband and I just had lunch at this incredible restaurant. The food is excellently cooked, the portions are quite large, the prices are very reasonable and the service is beyond outstanding. Our waiter, Mike, was by far, one of the best waiters and/or servers we ever had, even when dinning at very high end 5 star restaurants. We would not hesitate to recommend this eating establishment. It is a hidden jewel. When we come back and visit Somerville again this will be the first place we come back to eat at. Thank you to all the staff at Mount Vernon, especially Mike, for this wonderful experience.

Food was excellent. The popovers were tasty. The steak tips were very good and cooked to order. The service was average. Server didn’t follow up to refill drinks. Was not extremely friendly. The restaurant was quaint and you could tell that the locals love it.

Exactly what I expect from an old Irish bar. Great service staff; they are extremely friendly. Food is not your usual American pub style, definitely Irish/UK inspired. Was extremely happy with the choices and will be back. Also the popovers were amazing, over the usual bread.

First time there. Food was good. Friendly and helpful staff. I will go back. They are known for twin lobster special. I got lobster stuffed haddock, delicious! My friend got broiled salmon, she enjoyed it. Choice of sides. Good menu. Parking: 2 parking lots in back. Some street parking. Wheelchair accessibility: Yes, available.
