Simple country food. Or maybe simple comfort food. Either way, it is GOOD! There were four meat choices that I saw, several different sides and bread/cornbreads. I honestly didn't have room for the salad bar, but it looked stocked and clean. There is a dessert table in the back that had a blueberry pineapple cobbler, and two other choices which were irrelevant because I only had eyes for the blueberry cobbler! Honestly, the squash casserole was so good that it was a toss up between seconds or the cobbler. My waitress was attentive and friendly. I definitely recommend Movie Star!

If you like southern food this restaurant is for you! The Movie Star Restaurant is a mostly buffet style dine-in establishment with varying prices and selections depending on the day and time you visit. There was a wide array of "down home" food when I went and our waitress was very attentive. The atmosphere was nice but the name doesn't go with the place because the inside is more farmhouse less Hollywood. In my opinion the price for the dinner buffer is a bit expensive but the food is good. Overall a good experience!

I've been to this place multiple times I love there country fried steak. However today when my family and I went there I found a hair in my country fried steak. Now mind you I was already 5 deep in eating them this was number 6. Let me just say I was finished eating at that point. But the server comped my meal the service is always great the food is always great I just had one bad experience. I will still go back. One of the best places in Hattiesburg.

Friday night Buffett. Everything was hot and fresh. Real mashed potatoes. Homemade desserts. Did not add seafood as we had eaten that earlier in week while on vacation. Did see plates of it go by. Looked very good. Price for evening Buffett was 16.99 per person. Well worth it. For only 3.00 more could have added shrimp and oysters.

Very good home cooked food. Great service and atmospher. We highly recommend for couples and families. Service dog friendly. Very clean bathrooms.
