Moxie Catering

My husband and I booked Moxie Catering in 2019 for our October 2020 wedding. Jill and her team were great in talking through menu and service options. They had us come to The Golden Ox for a tasting which sealed the deal - everything was DELICIOUS! We landed on the full menu and were looking forward to working with them for our 200+ person event. When COVID hit, we were hit with some extraordinary challenges. Our venue closed and, with high-risk immediate family members, we knew that we could not move forward with the event and menu we initially planned. Jill and her team didn't bat an eye at either change - they were incredibly accommodating and provided the same menu in a plated service switched from buffet within our new budget for a 22-person event. Jill also helped address our concerns by making suggestions for appetizer and dinner service to ensure safety for everyone. Jill not only helped with the logistics, she truly helped put our minds at ease. In 2020, that is a HUGE feat! The meal was superb and the service was exceptional. Everyone raved throughout each course, and we still get people saying, "the food was amazing!" Jill also connected us with the baker from The Ox Cafe and Bakery, whose mini cupcakes were divine. The full meal was incredible and helped make our day so special. We hope to have a reception in 2021 with our original guest list and can't wait to work with Moxie again.

Moxie catered our wedding at our house! We had it in the back yard on the hottest day of the year! Somehow everyone survived!! Moxie made the experience so wonderful for my wife. She was struggling with planning it herself, especially finding rental companies for the tent, tables and chairs. When Jill and the gang got involved it was no longer a problem. Jill had it all in hand and took care of everything! The food was stupid-good as high quality as served in their restaurant, Voltaire The staff was extremely polite and a pleasure to have around. They had to use our kitchen to cook some of the food and they left it in as good of shape as possible considering the large mess from our guests haha Thanks to Jill and everyone their large part in making our wedding special! Can't way to see everyone again down at Voltaire!

Absolutely love everything about Moxie catering! I run a KC Event Venue and my staff and I enjoy hosting them every time they cater Their staff are professional, polished and most of all passionate: all these qualities show in their table service, their presentation and most importantly their food! We never eat as good as we do when Moxie is here! They are certainly worth every penny. Even their simple cheese and cracker spreads are beautifully presented on wood blocks, marble boards and beautiful tiers. The quality of ingredients they use takes every menu item to the next level. If you’re a foodie like I am, this is the catering company for you!!

People, Moxie catering is ever-y-thing! Outstanding service, attentive to detail, and epic food. Jill, Anna, Chris and team were simply amazing. They made our wedding day so incredibly special, and as an event planner, it felt so incredibly good to know we had this type of partner in executing our big day. I didn't have to lift a finger on the day of, nor was my glass ever empty. Plus, they go above and beyond on the service they provide. It's the little things that make your life easier in events and they get it, completely. If you're considering other caterers, don't. Just call Jill. You'll be glad you did.

Ohh so disappointed. I called ... planned an event with Moxie. They dropped the ball. Didn’t follow through. Luckily I had time to get someone else!! Whew. Nerve-racking.
