The mapo tofu at this restaurant is very delicious. Please eat it.

We have been here a few times recently and the the cuisine is consistently very good. They have dishes I have not seen elsewhere such as crazy chicken, beef tenderloin with black pepper sauce, and house garlic pork which is fantastic! There is also a market there with a good selection of vegetables, canned/bottled items and fresh seafood. Well worth the stop! We live 200 miles away, but every time we are in town we go to Mr. Chens.

Very euthenic Asian market. They have just about everything you would need to fix oriental type dishes. Good customer service but minimal fluent English speakers among staff but that just adds to the experience.Food: 4/5

This restaurant is located within a typical Asian grocery store. I came with my family for dinner on Father's Day and didn't made a reservation, but we were seated immediately upon our arrival after viewing the menu. People were very friendly and nice, and the food didn't take too long. One particular dish was a little bitter for my taste, and lighting towards the back was a bit dim. Overall, however, I enjoyed the meal.

This is one of my favorite chinese restaurant in Jackson, MS. Although the cooking style is nowhere near "authentic", their food is several notches better than all the many "americanized chinese" restaurants and take-outs in town. I've been all over Mississippi and this is the only place you can find Chinese-style roast duck, and it taste close to the ones I had in Hong Kong! It's the reason i come to this place very often since they opened years back. Among my other favorites are the sautéed sweet pea leaves, bokchoy with mushrooms , fried soft tofu with bean sauce, steamed fish, pig feet, fried pig intestines, and many more! Other items on the menu are also good but same as you would find in other asian/chinese place. Mr. Chen's is casual dining, their store is clean, conducive and cozy all year round and their staff are very accommodating, although sometimes they play with their celfones a lot! Overall, it's a good dining experience. Aside from the restaurant, they also have an asian grocery store within the building, complete with fresh and frozen meat, poultry and sea produce and a decent selections of asian goodies.

Service was good. Our entrees were yummy. We ordered the crystal shrimp and shumai not pictured from the appetizers and those weren't as great, to me, as the entrees. I think it just came from the frozen aisle of the grocery store next door.

My favorite Chinese restaurant in the Jackson metro area! Ever since they opened, I have been a big fan. I've eaten there at least 20 times if not more, every time has been more than enjoyable. We have started having family birthday dinner's at this place. I usually get either the Mongolian beef or the tofu with Crispy Bean blend, both are phenomenal here. I've had most of the menu and I can say everything I've tried I have loved.

I've NEVER been disappointed with anything I've ordered over the years from Mr Chenns, truly fantastic food and portion size.

Best Chinese food I have had in a long time! Hot and fresh food came out super fast! Very good service and I will definitely be back!
