Mr. Tint- San Jose

We trusted Mr. Tint with our Model S back in 2015 and this time for our X. Both times were for a full body PPF and window tints for the S. We are very satisfied with the quality of their work, responsiveness, and friendly attitudes specifically from Terry and Taylor. The wrap on our S is still going strong with no bubbling or noticeable imperfections or issues after several years. The new wrap on our X is gorgeous and precise. I have been hesitant to write this review but I have been thinking about the experience I had since Tuesday 5/10/22 when I picked up my vehicle. Today is Friday 5/13/22 I purchased the ceramic tint for my front two windows and the regular tint for the back Booking was easy, when I arrived there was a short wait. I had a 2pm appointment, I dropped off my car around 1:35pm and was told my car would be ready around 5:30pm because it’s a little harder than most due to the tiny windows in the back I received a text at 4:42pm that my car was almost ready and to head back to the shop My first mistake was not checking my car before paying, I didn’t see it when I drove back to the lot so I went straight to the office to pay. Once the woman walked me to the car I realized the front two tints were too dark, I asked to confirm that the front two were the correct color shade I chose and she confirmed it, obviously this was my mistake, so I asked if she can ask the other man that was working the desk when I arrived if he could change them to a lighter tint and how much that would be,, this is where our interactions changed and I became worried. He seemed extremely annoyed that I was unhappyeven though I would be paying to change it this was after I paid the $507 for my vehicle, they quoted me at $245 to change the front two for a lighter shade. I made the appointment but quickly rescheduled to a later week due to the large streaks I saw, they mentioned a two week “setting” period so I wanted to give the benefit of the doubt that they would be streak free by the following week. I didn’t feel comfortable enough to inspect my car further while at the shop after the interaction I just had, I left practically in tears,, I was pretty taken aback considering how kind and professional he was when I dropped my car off earlier You would think after spending a large amount of $ and basically promising to spend more you would be treated better.. Anyway, upon further inspection it felt like a rush job. The front two look great however my issue is with the rear windows + small windows in the back, the way they were cut is uneven and there is a large piece that wraps around where one strip is solid, you can see the uneven cut all the way around *photo attached Not only that but I see a scratch on the plastic that wraps around the passenger window There is tint is sticking out from the inside of the car window *photo attached A sponge was left behind and I had some large wet streaks running down the inside of my door frame. I’m hoping they will make this right. This is my second time coming to Me Tint, but this review is for my visit back in July. I live in the Central Valley but was raised in San Jose, so I made the trip for this service alone. Summers in the Central Valley can be extremely hot with temperatures hovering just north of triple digits so I knew I was going to need my windows tinted. I did my homework and finally decided to go with Xpel XR Prime Plus since it has the highest IR and best heat rejection available. It now comes down to the where. I went to about 6-7 different shops in the valley, all quoting me about 1,200 - 1,300 plus. The reason why it was so much was because I wanted all my windows tinted including the sunroof expect for my windshield on my 21 Subaru Forester Sport. Mr Tint gave me a quote well under a K for the film I wanted on all my windows. Front windows were tinted at 35%, the back at 25% and the sunroof at 45%. The lady at the counter I apologize for not getting a name was super helpful and let me know that the factory tint would make the back windows a lot darker after the film was applied. She did the calculation and eventually told me that the back windows should be tinted at 40% in order for them to be at 25% after installation. The installation process took about 5 hours and I can't emphasize how happy I am with the entire process. I should've gone with 15% on the back but again I'm happy with the end result. First time getting windows tinted on any of my cars. The staff at Mr. Tint were very helpful in guiding me toward the right product that I was looking for. They provided a demo of the products and also showed me the different tints and percentages on different cars that were in the lot which was very helpful. Afterwards they addressed all of my concerns and provided very thorough care instructions. As for results, I couldn’t be happier! I got a ceramic tint and the heat rejection is amazing! Definitely necessary for those hot summer months. Would definitely recommend Mr. Tint for anyone looking to get their windows tinted.

Got my VW Atlas tinted over at Mr. Tint in San Jose - Taylor & Vi were so helpful and knowledgeable when we asked questions. Received a text saying car was completed and WOW what an awesome job they did. I had the two front windows tinted and the strip on the front windshield. Last fall, I reached out to a handful of local tint shops for information and pricing. Evelyn provided noticeably more details and options than the other tint shops. The other tint shops just didn't seem to care on service. A month ago summer, I finally circled back to Evelyn in getting this done. I decided to go with Mr. Tint because of her communication and service. I went with Xpel XR. When comparing to the Tesla glass roof, the heat reduction is very noticeable. Mr. Tint did a great job wrapping my Tesla Model 3 with the Xpel stealth wrap. I've gotten a ton of positive compliments from friends and strangers asking about the stealth wrap. Most importantly, the entire Mr. Tint team is very responsive and helpful walking me through the different options. Mr. Tint did an absolutely fantastic job tinting my car. I went with the Xpel XR Prime Plus, and chose 20% after some helpful discussion with the staff. I had my previous car tinted at another shop and was never truly happy with it. As soon as I saw the job Mr. Tint did I was glad that I took the recommendation to use them!
