The best! This place is a hidden gem in a shopping center. Before you even walk through the door the sweet cashier is already greeting you with friendly words and a beautiful smile. Don't expect to walk in and walk right out, perfection takes time. This place is spotless. Super clean and wide open kitchen. I Ordered Mr. Richards special, four pieces of fried chicken, greens, Mac & cheese, and yams. So much great food. The fried chicken was lightly breaded not allowing the breading take over the taste of the chicken. The Mac and cheese is no Kraft it's fresh made deliciousness! The greens aren't spicy just fresh. Had the pleasure of meeting Ms. E-Vee, a beautiful woman who is passionate about giving quality food and a great price served by great people. Make the trip here, you will not regret it. You will only crave it until the next time.

This place gets a star for it's portions and customer service. I ordered simple wings, they were all out. The 2 sides I ordered we're all out too. I settled for the meatloaf, got it home.......WTH!!! It had more bread in it then meat. Try Lape Soul food on Hayes and 7 mile.... nothing but the best!!!

The place is hard to find, being inside what looks like a strip-mall, but once u find it you will be treated to great soul food at reasonable prices.

I don't who Frank E. met but it sure ain't who I got to see. First, let me say i love southern food and cajun food and you can't keep me away from catfish. But this isn't a review of their food unfortunately. I work for a delivery service as a side job and was sent there to pick up an order for a customer. When I walked it, the woman ignored me. When she made eye contact, I started to speak to have her turn away from me and start talking to one of the cooks. When she did finely address my presence in her establishment, she said " You want our food?" Im assuming she meant because I look fairly stereotypical white guy. And I found that incredibly rude. But I ignored it and explained that I was their placing/picking up an order as a delivery driver. She took the order and when I gave her my company card, she refused to accept it because it didn't have my personal name on it. So I tried to explain further and even offered her proof that I was in fact a delivery driver. She grabbed who I can only assume is Ms. E-Vee herself and she came out and also gave me the third degree ultimately resulting in my customer not getting her order. I made a point to call both my customer and employer in the lobby so as add further add evidence on my behalf and partly to show them the money they lost today and are going to lose in the future. Sucks that I had to be treated that way. Couldn't get it off my mind.
