Dr Hogan and the cardiology staff are always so welcoming and take the time to explain everything. We are so lucky to have all of the very dedicated Dr's , vet techs, & staff at Angell! What I appreciated most about Angell is their expertise and that they truly care about my pets.
It's simple and essential and resides in the heart. You saved our precious dog's life and offered hope and unflagging optimism at every turn. We were treated with respect, authentic compassion, patience, and empathy. From the radiation oncologist to the nursing staff, to the kind people who came to fetch and return Oscar each day, to the client staff checking us in. Bless you, for your obvious and loving commitment. You all really do represent the "better angels of our nature."
I mean my kitten is alive and largely unharmed thanks to you. Communicated well with me, broke down my options and walked me through her emergency surgery. Then while I was away from her, they called regularly to let me know her status and how she was doing. They were understanding while also being very pragmatic and realistic which was very helpful because I was a full broken down mess. And when I got her back they went over her recovery care they made sure I knew about everything I had to do and made sure I felt confident about how she needed to be taken care of! What I appreciated most about Angell is that they saved my Peggy's life and treated her really well. She literally has no idea she was in such danger and that she has a 4" incision in her stomach. I'm overjoyed that she doesn't know why I'm keeping her in a little pen and waiting on her hand and foot. She's not in pain and is still just a little baby and I believe it's because your emergency surgical team is so skilled!
I just wanted to thank everyone at Angel animal medical center for the great job, care and carful consideration for my best friend in the world. Over this past weekend they took great care of my pup Maggy. It has been extremely hard for me to see her in pain and discomfort this past week prior to her stay at Angel. Everyone who helped care for her has my gratitude as they carefully chose to monitor her after her surgery to make sure her vitals body temp, kidney function among other things returned to safe levels. she is now home and relaxing and was excited to be here before taking a snooze when she came home tonight. I don’t know what to say for how thankful I am as I was extremely anxiety Ridden prior to the care she was given. Again thank you so much to Leah Richter and the entire team at Angel <3
I lost my Bulldog just 5 years old. She was like a daughter to me. Charlotte had seizure symptoms on 10/12. I took her to the hospital where she spent the night. I spent a more than 1000 dollars. They just had a blood test, no urine test, and no x-ray. I picked her up the next day. On 12/12, I took her to the hospital again. Because she had gotten much worse. I spent another 1000$. Her blood tests were perfect. She was a young dog, because of the signs she had, and I had talked to other veterinarians in Brazil I'm from Brazil they said that she probably had vestibular syndrome. They said that if it was a tumor, it would have changed her blood test. The only exam with the neurologist was a ridiculous physical exam. Where they examine the dog's reflexes. She didn't have an x-ray, no urine test, no CT scan, nothing! They didn't even try to give her antibiotics, in case she had an infection. Only steroids and anticonvulsants. The only exam they offered me was an MRI and an exam that would have to open her head and get some fluid out of there for exams. I would never accept this without at least getting an x-ray. And they said this exam would be 6000 dollars. Besides this amount being impossible for me to pay, as we would have already spent 2000$ in 2 nights. I didn't feel any confidence in them. I knew she would die in the hospital. So I preferred to search her. And I still needed to read in her chart that maybe I should opt for euthanasia. I found a hideous shape. I found the staff to be extremely unprofessional. You didn't try anything. Nothing. It was easier to think she had a tumor and have me put her down. Or pay $6000+ on an exam that I knew you were going to hand me over dead. You guys took too long. And she paid the price for it. And she died the same night. On my side, sleeping. On 12/13 my daughter left, and left a void in our lives. I hope you can imagine the pain you caused me and my family. I am sick with depression and a panic attack. I lost my girl, so beautiful and young. I hope God will do justice.
I was confused and worried about my dog as we were sent by the local veterinarian to seek emergency care. The personnel were fantastic! One woman led us by the hand in order to start the process of getting our dog admitted. Then she showed us how to apply for financial aid and put our minds at ease, assuring us that Che’ was in great hands and there was nothing to worry about. The doctors kept us well informed about Che’s progress too!
The medical teams at Angell are exactly what a dog parent needs during an emergency. They are knowledgeable, calm, patient, thorough, communicative, and most of all, compassionate. My poor pup was admitted to the ER for a couple nights and we received updates every morning and evening by phone and text, including photos. Drs Lin and Kim and client coordinators Lindsey and Dianna were very patient with all of our questions and my endless waterworks. I felt confident that my girl was in the best hands possible. Thankfully she recovered under their excellent care and has returned home, healthy and happy! Thank you so much, Angell team!
My ferret, Wesley threw up pink liquid one night and I knew he needed treatment immediately. I called Angell where he was already established and they said to bring him in immediately. They took Wesley back within 5 minutes of my arrival even though it was a holiday and like 7 PM with no appointment. They cared for him well, gave us updates as they could, and sent us home with him, some medicine, and an explanation of next steps. Overall it was almost $750, which is obviously crazy expensive, but considering all they did for him, I think it's reasonable/industry standard. The only thing I wish I had was the notes from the visit. I still feel like I don't have a good grasp of what exactly happened because when I was getting the news I think I might've been in shock a little. So, if they could give out paperwork at the end of an appointment kind of like how hospitals do: what happened, what's the diagnosis, next steps. I think that would be really helpful. The staff was kind. When we spilled a drink they weren't upset and instead of having us clean it, they just mopped it up almost immediately. And no one made fun of me for crying like the whole time there were also tissue boxes everywhere. In terms of emergency vet care for a ferret, I'd say it's pretty 10/10. What I appreciated most about Angell is how they seem knowledgeable about ferret care which cannot be said of many other vets. I have extreme anxiety about what vets I bring my ferrets to, as I’ve had bad luck before, but Angell has proven to me that they know what they’re doing when it comes to ferrets. On top of that, they care. The picture shows Wesley and his sister. He’s been home for a week and seems to be doing a lot better. Thank you!
They are all wonderful and patient and knowledgeable. Sent me pics of my hammy every day. They treated my hamster like a cat or a dog other places I’ve been don’t value them as much.
