Multnomah Whiskey Library

I found the Multnomah Whiskey Library several years ago online. Living in Seattle, it was just far enough away that I never made the trip. My wife was able to get best passes for my birthday week this year 2024 and it was an amazing experience. We did rounds of appetizers during the night, chatting as our bartender/server brought them by with drinks they paired after my request. Wonderful food, amazing selection of spirits, great service. If I lived locally, would totally go for a membership.

We were very impressed with the knowledge of our bartender. He offered suggestions that demonstrated he had listened carefully to what we were interested in and what our likes and dislikes were. In addition to that the entire staff was very friendly, the ambience was relaxing, the noise level was perfect in that we could have a conversation while sitting next to each other without having to raise our voices. If I lived in Portland I would be trying to get a membership.

What an amazing place! Great selection of spirits, knowledgeable staff, exclusive service, and really cool atmosphere. The fireplace added a great scent and ambiance to the room. Pan-seared salmon was perfectly cooked. I didn't care much for the 'braised' cornbread beneath it, but whatever. It was unique. The meat board charcuterie was superb.

Whiskey drinkers dream. With an encyclopedia sized directory and walls of spirits to imbibe. Bartenders are equipped with trolley carts to prepare your glasses table side. Roaring fireplace at one end of the large room adds to the cozy and upscale ambiance.Service: 5/5

Went for work team dinner. Our reservation was accidently canceled our fault, not theirs but the staff went out of their way to accommodate our 9 top in the newly added back room which ended up being cozier and better for conversation. Our server was amazing all night, keeping up with our orders and correcting a couple of mistakes at no cost to us. He even offered to give first-time visiters in our party a tour of the main parts of the library.

Date Night Approved: I had an amazing time at the Whiskey library. I visited while I was in Portland for a long weekend and the cocktails are excellent. The cocktails were served table side where was able to see the process of my drink being made. The staff are extremely friendly, warm and welcoming. This gem has over 1000 bottles of whiskey and a variety of other spirits. It’s a beautiful place for an intimate date night or conversation with friends.

It’s always a pleasure to be able to get into the library. The food is decent, though the fries are not my favorite. The space is expansive and spectacular. Usually drinks are prepared table side, though this past visit my first showed up while the rest of the table were able to view the creation of theirs. We’ve had snooty service a few times, but overall the expertise and environment are great. I would consider Teardrop Lounge my favorite craft bar in the city if not the world, but the library is always a treat to spend time at.

One of its kind, Amazing Experience..... I was wondering what Library, truly one has to climb up the ladder for a huge selection of Whiskey from many countries..... The Bar tenders and Executives are very well versed with the Whiskey options.... I took a flight to American Whiskeys....Food: 4/5

Very cool whiskey bar in the Portland area! Amazing collection of whiskeys! The cocktails are prepared and served while you're at your table, they are delicious!!! The food dinner portions is equally delicious and pairs well with the drinks! The bar seats are reserved for members only, which I think is cool! Make reservations prior to your visit! As of this post they still require proof of vaccination. The folks that work here are very friendly and helpful! If you're not sure what to order, they can point you on the right direction! If you're a whiskey aficionado, this place is a must! It's definitely worth a look for all! If you find yourself in the area, check it out!!!
