I have devoted my career to the practice of employment law. I understand that employment disputes are personal and emotional and lives can be dramatically affected. I formed my own boutique firm to focus exclusively on representing individuals and groups involved in employment-related disputes.
I provide legal counseling to employees with respect to protection of rights and the ever-changing federal and state employment laws. I anticipate issues, guide and educate about options and advocate for the best outcome.
INDIVIDUAL AND CLASS ACTION
I regularly bring individual, class and collective action claims pursuant to the Fair Labor Standards Act (“FLSA”) and similar state wage and hour statutes. I have substantial experience in class and collective action certification, facilitation of class notification, litigation of wage and hour claims, class member depositions, assessment of damages and settlement. I have successfully litigated class and collective action claims on behalf of groups of employees and recovered millions of dollars in unlawfully denied compensation.
LITIGATION
When litigation is called for, I regularly appear on behalf of clients in federal and state trial and appellate courts. I have litigated cases brought under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (“Title VII”), the Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act (“WARN”), the Family and Medical Leave Act (“FMLA”), the Age Discrimination in Employment Act (“ADEA”), the Americans with Disabilities Act (“ADA”), the Pennsylvania Human Relations Act (“PHRA”) and the New Jersey Law Against Discrimination (“LAD”.)
EMPLOYEE COUNSELING
I also provide counseling to employees in the areas of contract review and negotiation, non-competition agreements, compensation agreements, severance package review and negotiation, compliance with contractual obligations, and potentially difficult workplace concerns. Additionally, I work with executives and physicians in negotiating initial and renewed employment contracts.
