Murray Recorders Office

As a person with impaired vision I was having some difficulty with the paperwork needed for the passport. Andrea went out of her way to guide me through the process. Something that is hard for me was easily completed.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AT THIS OFFICE. HEAD TO THE SOUTH SALT LAKE OFFICE ASAP My family of 5 arrived at the office at 3:15 pm, there was quite a wait. Once it was our turn it was getting close to about 3:30, the incredibly rude woman at the counter remarked "I hope you brought your checkbook." After we gave her all three of our kids information. We had only brought one check, and she told us that we really would need three separate checks, she COULD send them together, but didn't really think it would be ok. She was so rude, and clearly did not want to help us. I think it must have been too close to closing time for her to want to process our information. We left that horrible smelly, old and awful office and decided to just pull our kids out of school the next day and went to the South Salt Lake office. The South Salt Lake Office was SO helpful, kind and guess what WE DIDN'T NEED THREE SEPARATE CHECKS! I never leave reviews for anything, but you bet I'll leave one in hopes that someone doesn't make our same mistake. Ditch the rude feathered haired office in Murray and head to South Salt Lake.

I had a similar experience to Amanda Couch's description. I first arrived at the post office across the street from here, but once I found out they don't accept applications, I came here. The woman at the desk was shocked to hear I don't have a checkbook. This is not federal requirement. For some reason, this office refuses to use any other form of payment. When I also asked about having a photo taken, she very curtly exclaimed that it would be $10. I discourage anyone from trying to go through this office for a passport.

Fast and friendly service. They answered all my questions about my passport application. It only took about 20 minutes to get everything done. Thank you!

I had an excellent experience with the Murray recorders office. The lady who helped me out was professional, helpful, and friendly. I doubt that I will need the same services again, but if I did, I see no reason to go elsewhere.
