Myzel Chocolates

This is the best chocolatier in the NY metro area. Nothing surpasses their hand-made delights, the ready-to-go gift packages, or the wonderful charm of Kamila and her daughter.

Was swept up into this haven of delights for the first (and hardly last) time, recently. I felt spoiled the moment I walked in and then the discovery began. Don't ask for the regular; expect the spectacular!

They are doing a celebration of licorice right now and the person who helped us (owner?) was so sweet and made sure we tried multiple samples of her favorites. Cute place with great character!

I love this old-fashioned candy store straight out of the childhood I wish I had. The nice old lady who runs it will explain all of the candies to you--I love the huge variety of licorice, which are better than anything you'll find in a grocery store (less sugary, more intense and complex). The endless possibilities and old-timey charm keep me coming back!

This place exudes charm. Over 100 varieties of licorice from around the world, great homemade chocolate and cookies, great service. Everyone is really friendly here. If you've got a sweet tooth it can't figure out what to get someone, go here. It's not every day you come across a place like this.
