Loved visiting here. The man working the counter was nice and helpful in helping me find what I wanted in my price range and I left happy. There’s two locations, I visited both but enjoyed the smaller location more. The woman working the counters at the larger location was rude, aggressive, and not very helpful. I didn’t feel welcomed and left for that reason alone.
Just bought my engagement ring here. Excellent prices and service! I will definitely return in the future!
Excellent place to purchase art or jewelery. Beautiful shop, worth a peak. Vintage coins available .
Love the ring I got, I would absolutely buy everything they have if I can afford Efi was very friendly, a must-go place in French quarter. Will recommend this store to my friends.
I love vintage jewelry, especially engagement rings. I love how they reflect the architecture of the age, and each one has a story even if we never learn what it is. I also have a favorite antique jewelry store in the French Quarter, Naghi's. I got to visit this store and picked up a 1920’s ring the day before going on a cruise.  Sunday morning, as I was packing up, I noticed I had lost the diamond out of the setting. I had an hour before the taxi was due, so I jogged down to the shop. Efi, the owner, was shocked. He was protesting that he had never seen that happen, and that he personally inspected all items before they go in the case. I was half talking over him that I have never had a problem with anything I’ve purchased there, and he sells great quality jewelry.  Efi offered to replace the ring. I think he saw the look on my face – I wanted That one. Efi then offered to replace the diamond, but warned me that he might not have another old mine cut. No problem!  I chose the ring, not the rock. I told Efi that if he had any odd, strange colored diamonds, that would work, too. I like the odd ones. Twenty minutes later I headed back to the shop to see a couple of stones. Efi had a purplish blue-gray and another one that couldn’t decide if it was brown, yellow, or green. I chose the warm colors to go with the setting and headed for the boat. Fast-forward a few hours. I’m in my state room unpacking, and in the bottom of my backpack, there’s a glint. It was the lost diamond. I immediately called Efi. “You’re not going to believe this!” Though I had found the original stone, I requested a trade, and he agreed. A week later, I was back in the shop, and gave him back his clear diamond, happily taking possession of my little gremlin rock. Efi had completely rebuilt the progs to assure this would not happen again. My friends and I visited again before our vacation was over, and we each chose a ring to take home, to remember the trip, to honor each other, and to satisfy that magpie instinct that loves something shiny.
This is a great store to do a little treasure hunting. The prices marked are of course negotiable as most places like this are. There is a nice variety of quality pieces. My wife picked up a nice natural ruby bracelet and an insect brooch for a very very reasonable price. There were a couple of stones kissing but Efi got those replaced by the next day. Super nice guy. Ill be back and ill tell my friends.
On my latest visit to New Orleans I always visit Naghi’s. Efi assisted me with some unique estate bracelets. One was a beautiful jade bracelet and the other a charm style bracelet. I LOVE THEM!! Efi is so personable and even polished a ring I had on that I had bought there many years before. I will continue to visit on every visit to NOLA. I was so interested in the sharing of his family’s traditions during Passover that was going on. Much more than a simple transaction.
Walked in and like it was magic, found the perfect set of rings. Best 10 year anniversary!!
I took my ring in to be upsized and to make a long story of the blatant lies, deception and flat out THEFT short end results were a stolen Sapphire that would have never been discovered if not for me bringing a gem lens most of the Platnum being removed and then replaced with a much cheaper-discovered much later white gold. I had to call the police who made them write out an admission of responsibility and promise to replace my missing Sapphire on their company heading. Reason told to police was the stone fell out during the final polish... The lies.. the deception.. the flat out THEFT.. all of it... don't waste your time or your money... This city really has some amazing shops .. NOTHING with the name Naghi attached or involved with is good and honorable.. Staff consists of constant rotation of overworked- minimum paid people with a heavy criminal past or heavy addiction or both. .everything sold by rude, tired, uncaring staff... and if you ask my opinion the only good comments and reviews are probably some people that were bought off so they would have a good review I'm not saying anything that cannot be verified with your own research... don't ..... JUST DON'T Badbadbadbadbadbadbadbadbad
I bought a pair of “emerald earrings” for what was originally marked as $450 , only to find out you can type in “Turkish jewelry” on eBay , and the same exact product shows up for around $25, including shipping. . You can’t just mark ur product up over 300%. Don’t believe the positive reviews, the staff just wants ur money and to profit off of people who don’t know better.
