This place should be reported because they made me pay in cash without giving any receipt and expected to receive a big tip for which they complained. Moreover, the service was poor as well as the hygiene. My gel nails started chipping off two days after I got them and in less than 10 days I had to re-do them - at another salon. I would also like to add that the on-site menta they used were not sterilized and that my nails were not looking all the same. See the picture, there are some irregularities in the borders as well. Since another client came it I was just let go without checking for the finishing. AVOID!
Won’t do gel extension refills and expect customers to pay full price for a new full set every time?? How does it make any sense to completely remove the tips and then apply new ones, instead of filing down the tips, removing the polish, and filing them in/applying new polish like literally every other nail salon does??? Seriously how does this place keep customers coming back…
The owner Kelly is AMAZING!! First of all, I am a mother of three and I travel from the Bronx just to see her. I have been going to see her since my youngest son was 1 month old. He is now almost 6 months. In that short time period I have found a true decent human being and one that does impeccable work. Every time I go to see her I have to bring my baby since I am exclusively breastfeeding. She is always accommodating. Even going so far as to hold my little boy if my hands aren't free and he is crying. I am so thankful for my sister-in-law for introducing me to this place and I secretly would like to keep it as quiet and private as it already is, but Kelly has too good of workmanship to be kept a secret. Consider me a customer for life. All nails are done with SNS powder.Services: Pedicure
Been coming here for years and was thrilled when they reopened a few weeks back. 2nd COVID visit today and I am happy to report the place is as sparkling clean as it always has been! They have also redone the whole place to be COVID compliant. Plexiglass and plastic curtains all over and you need to call ahead for an appointment. They keep it so you are always one away from another guest. Manager Kelly is also now keeping the punch cards in the salon, less touching and the cards are there waiting for guests having been "quarantined" in a plastic binder. Glad they've reopened, hope this fabulous little place survives 2020. Kelly and all the ladies are friendly and very skilled!
Don’t come here. They made me wait over an hour even though I had an appointment. When they tended to my nails, they made me bleed… I had to ASK them for a bandaid since it wasn’t stopping after I washed my hands. And they asked me to pay full price for the soak off service.Service: Polish removal
Do not use this service!! I went before for a basic manicure, just polish, noticed they missed a couple steps. The kicker is I went back for extensions because I was going on vacation, WORST JOB EVER....ENDED UP WITH A NAIL FUNGUS. I went back to my regular manicurist, she said they did a bad job. In addition, they filled my cuticles way too much and I ended up with red lines at the base of my nails.....BEWARE.Service: Manicure
I usually go to Spoiled Diva on 19th St, but Nail Studio is literally across the street from me, so I thought I would give it a try. I went in for the $28.00 mani+pedi special and ended up paying $58.00 plus I tipped her $10.00. The whole experience was underwhelming and not worth $58.00. The gel mani was $31.99, and the pedicure was $24, but I don't understand why they couldn't cut me a deal for doing the gel mani + pedicure. My pedicure came out great, but my gel manicure looks terrible. The polish isn't evenly distributed throughout the nail, so it looks warped. It wasn't horrible, but there are so many nail places to choose from in the city, and this one was not that good. All the tools were dirty, and the UV dryer they had me place my hands in was filthy. I won't be going back. Update: Five days after and my nails are very chipped. The nail bed wasn't set correctly so it lifted and would get caught in my hair while I would wash my hair. Or when I would run my fingers throughout my hair during the day. I am not going back.
Not the worst but not great. I had a mani with Alina who hacked off a lot of cuticles and left my nails in a perfectly square shape complete with pointy edges. Ugh. Close to wholefoods but worth another visit.
Ok so definitely don't go here. I popped in for a simple basic pedicure. It literally was like they washed my feet and polished my nails. No actual filing off dead skin or filing of nails. They attempted to push back the cuticles and stabbed me twice. They cannot understand a word of English so don't even bother asking them to fix anything. The only English they know is the name of the upcharges they will try to sell u .The place is gross too a Coke can and styrofoam tray holds the steam from the radiator pipe at bay and the towel used under my feet was so old it had holes in it. I went here because it was close to my apartment but never again.
