Got the Caterpillar and Spider-Man rolls there see pic.They were flavorful and excellent!The clear onion soup was very tasty too. Our Hibachi cook delighted everyone with his skills. I tried a bite of the Hibachi food, but it was bland for my taste and required some sauce to wake it up. Others like it though, so to each his/her own. Good experience overall and friendly service.
Things have changed and not for the good, we did make reservations,but my husband and I where a half hour late, my daughter was waiting for us at the table. And as she was holding are table,the waitress told her she would have to order for us otherwise leave,that she had extended the maximum wait time. There was hardly any one in there.i don’t get it. And now we must order right away.,and the food was not tasty,he cooked it took long,accept for the veggies they where not cooked enough. I have tried to get in twice before and couldn’t,my birthday was Aprilm30 th and the only time they would have gotten me in was 9 thirty way to late. I am so dissatisfied,I went to kabutas a few months ago you do not need a reservation,and the food was actually better there,to bad as This use to be my to go place every year for my birthday,I will be going elsewhere for now on, And I am really mad the way they spoke to my daughter.how dare you tell her she needs to leave,WTH. As the other people that never showed up you think that they really needed there tables full. I could go on. But if you cannot make it on time and you need to have your reservation. Don’t go.
The food here was pretty good. They are short on cooks so right now you can walk in and sit at the sushi bar to order food from the menu. There's a sign in the door to call ahead for reservation, so you may want to call before you go. It was about an hour wait if you wait and go there to wait for a spot at the hibachi table. But the food was just as good at the sushi bar. The service was quick and the guys at the sushi bar were friendly.
I loved the food but it's better if you got reservations , if you're less then 8 persons probably your gonna have to share table
Mussels are goooood. Better sit in hibachi area. Food was okay. Hot tea was good. Sushi was good. On this pandemic we gotta make a reservation to eat here. Even only two or three of us they would not take us. Booked for the day.
AMAZING SERVICE, SAFETY, and MANAGEMENT!!! My children and I had dinner 2 10/24/22 nights ago at Nakatos. An unhappy individual caused a scene and made for an uncomfortable situation. The male manager, Chris handled the situation perfectly! He was calm, professional, polite to an individual who had to be seen out. The rest of the staff was calm and professional as well. Chris went above and beyond. I was taken back by the situation but thought the manner in which it was handle was fabulous. During the situation in the dining room everything carried on as usual with food being prepared, cooked, and delivered. We sat at the sushi bar and the sushi chef was AMAZING as well! I wish I could give 10 to the staff working that night. My children and I are TRULY THANKFUL and the food was delicious as well per usual.
My family and I went here on Saturday night 11/2022. We couldn’t get a spot at the grill but we got a table… because this place is so packed.. the food was horrible it was thrown together, very disappointed. Even found hair in on of the plates… we told the manager , he provided a discount and took that plate off the ticket.. I didn’t want to make a big scene, so I accepted the discount. I’ll never eat there again… it’s was loud and it’s like a party scene now. The server was nice but the ordered food from the back was straight nasty. I’ve got to be honest.. they can’t keep up with the crowd. I’m positive this is the correct location.. I use to go to the grill during lunch hours. And there are table close to the bar… I had a table sitting close by … the crowd there is overwhelming maybe for the kitchen.. I’m just being honest.
Terrible service from the moment of arrival. Manager very unprofessional. Everyone except the cook acted like we bothered them if we ask for anything. Sushi was awful could have got better from your local Publix. This place use to be great now it lacks in service food an presentation. Will never be back! Worse experience in a restaurant ever!
Visited location to celebrate my son's 20th birthday. Everything was perfect! The food and service was exceptional. I can't wait to return for dinner again.
This used to be my favorite hibatchi in Charlotte. I’ve been 25+ times, but today was the last. I understand staffing issues. I have empathy for the current times. However, when arriving at 535, I was told next seating is 6pm. We came for their early bird special which goes till 6, and I asked would we still be able to get the special and were told no. We elected to stay and there were multiple tacky signs at the bar stating “bar closed”. While a server was making her bar drinks I asked her kindly for a glass of water and she said she was busy getting her drinks. We then left. Servers should be polite and willing to help others regardless of their own table. Kubuto it is from now on.
