About Natural Health and Wellness



Inspired by her mother, who was suffering from colon cancer, Natural Health and Wellness founder Maureen Phifer left a successful career in real estate to focus on her lifelong passion: natural health. Having suffered from her own digestive discomfort and disease, she had also experienced firsthand the benefits of dietary and lifestyle changes. Most people underestimate the importance of digestive health when it comes to a person’s overall health. And this is where Natural Health and Wellness comes in, supporting the body’s natural ability to heal itself via nutrition, herbal medicine, detoxification, and colon hydrotherapy.

Conveniently located at Greenwood Medical Center on the southwest corner of Orchard and Quebec (across from the Greenwood Athletic Club), Natural Health and Wellness is committed to educating people on the advantages to using a natural approach to taking care of their health. There is no magic pill for anyone; rather, one must make healthy choices—and persist with those healthy choices over time.

We encourage our clients to take control of their own health by educating themselves so they make the best choices for their own health-care needs. And while we aspire to be an integral player in the overall health care of our clients, we simply want to be part of a team of health-care providers—not replace a client’s traditional providers. Conventional medicine has a place in our lives, but our bodies often respond very well to a natural approach first. We provide the guidance to prevent accumulation of heavy metals and harmful toxins within the body through diet and herbal supplements.
