Peggy is such an amazing manager. The campground has a perfect location, right beside old orchard beach. Plus they have free showers! This is a gem when you want to put your tent close to the beach, without having to pay for a hotel. Keep in mind that this campground is more « downtown » so there not a lot of woods around, although the big trees around help to keep the tent cool at night. It was a perfect spot to enjoy fair on old orchard beach! I will book again for sure
When we got there I was a little bit apprehensive because it looked a little shady. But I never been more relaxed in my life the staff was very helpful and nice. Wifi pool walking distance to the beach stores etc etc. They had nice little firepits you can roast marshmallows or cook some food. The other campers were nice and respectful it was not loud at all. We are looking forward to going back this year. If you have a family its perfect for the kids and mom and dad . Bathrooms and showers on site as well. They we're clean and nice.
Be careful they will take your money and try to find a way to kick you our. Their employee attacked my husband THE OWNER FALSIFIED DOCUMENTS and the employee is still employed and my husband was kicked off, we paid for the whole year just for them to torment and cause nothing but grief towards my family and my husband had to sleep in the car outside of the campground because of falsifications. Thousands of dollars were lost, they made false reports to child protective services against me and the case was immediately closed because of the false report. These individuals are horribly 2-faced, DO NOT TRUST THEM!!
Tried to set reservations however they will not let you stay here unless you have children because apparently couples are too “loud.” This place is literally discriminating against people, they are bound to get sued. When my boyfriend and I camp we are usually the quietest ones in the campground, while people’s children are usually running around screaming. Terrible business, would not recommend to anyone.
We stayed here last night, during tropical storm Isaias. We were the only people crazy enough to tent out, and due to the fact that we had been traveling from New York we couldn’t arrange to stay somewhere else. Peggy was super friendly and willing to help accommodate us, to make sure we had a safe tent site. We had a site with a platform so we were above the ground slightly, trees covered the site perfectly; no big branches that could’ve came down on us during the storm, close to the bathroom; which by the way were stupendously clean!!!!! I highly recommend staying here, it’s a 10 minute walk to the town, staff is friendly and bathrooms are clean!!
I love here. I got a spot for the entire summer. The price was great. It's very close to the beach, and right next to a store. The grounds are very clean, and quiet. My neighbors are nice. Would definitely recommend!
Stayed here with last minute reservation, for 3 weeks with a 27' Airstream. Love this location for walking or riding to town or beach. I was struck with how quiet it was in the campground at night and I slept very well there. The facilities are simple and old-school--which I like, and there is great hot water in the showers. Met alot of great people and will definitely go back.
Good for what it is.... very great location walkable to the pier and shops/bars, but don’t expect much else. No cable, poor WiFi, bathrooms were pretty gross and they were working on showers so gals could hear guys talking in the bathhouse and guys had to deal w workers. No one there when we checked in so we found them the next day to square up, guy working gave good advice on where to go and what to see. Nice folks walking around and we felt safe. They have quiet hours which was also nice. Overall good three night stop and happy to find somewhere close to the beach.
Both staff were friendly upon check in and checkout. Sites are very close together but we managed to fit a 21" tent on our tent site and for the amount of time we spent on the actual site it was fine. Very close to beach and downtown area!! Quiet at night and served its purpose. Pool area was VERY clean. Washrooms need updating, especially the showers/shower curtains There was duct tape on then to hold them closed
Pretty expensive, because of it's proximity to Old Orchard Beach. I honestly wouldn't even call this camping. It's kind of an empty lot, where you can set up tents or park an RV. Zero privacy. And you're pretty close to your neighbors. It is clean there. Probably cheaper than staying in any of the nearby hotels. And it's within walking distance of Old Orchard Beach, which is convenient.
