VERY tall building that you can see from most anywhere in Lincoln. Turns out that there's a city ordinance that prevents any other building from being higher or, from obstructing people’s views of the capitol. Gorgeous interior with murals and floors, marbles and paintings…all done with Nebraska life in mind. One of the best tours we’ve had in a capitol building. The man giving it was enthusiastic (like it was still his first time giving it) and informative while answering all our questions. The view from the top is not that great because there’s just not a lot to see on the horizon in Lincoln…lots of trees only.

Tour was very informative. The building has many intracacies which would be missed by the casual observer without a tour guide to alert you to them all. Quite interesting, we enjoyed it very much.

Historic building with lots of nice artwork. As a TAX PAYING citizen, I can express my opinion here, in a POLITE and RESPECTFUL manner:
Nebraska has a Legislative bill on the table called LB-42. Normally I would not discuss a bill, but I would hope our elect officials would vote against passing this. This is because LB-42 states the law would be to will raise the child safety seat age from 6 to the age of 8. Which means your kid has to ride in one of these things, when passing through the state of Nebraska, in a safety seat at the age of 8!!. This means that it is NOT coherent with the national safety standards. SO let's say you are traveling from Kansas to Nebraska. You would have to purchase a child safety seat before you can enter our state for your 8 year old. It's bad enough the kids have to be in one at the age of 6. The age of 4 Years old should have been the limit, like it use to be.
I assume NOBODY has kids anymore and doesn't realize that they WHINE and fuss during cross- country trips. It's bad enough they have to be in these POINTLESS devices. Booster seats: I wouldn't agree they are "safe". Most of your car accidents in America and ESPECIALLY Nebraska are roll-overs. The last thing a kid needs to be, is HIGHER up. Or let alone they would be in danger from head-ons with FLYING debris, now that they are "boosted" up higher. This is because the child is sky-high up in the air in the vehicle, a Head-on happens. Where DOES all those pieces of glass go? They go flying through the car.
You want to talk about safety in Nebraska? Let's talk about the AMOUNT of road rage. Tanker truck drivers that do NOT obey any speed limits, tail gaters because they are mad the roads are especially slow, and the cell phone users. This state has the WORST amount of road rage compared to any other state I have traveled through, minus Iowa. -Thank you.

Very much enjoy the tour, the building itself, and the grounds. Probably the coolest state capitol building I've seen yet and is a regular stop when I'm in Lincoln.

A very beautiful and historical building. We were walking around at admired wall and ceiling. Awesome. Also many informations and pictures of foreign administrations hang on the wall. You can spend easily 3 hours inside the building. Also the floors are very nice (mosaic). But the best came at the end: 14th floor and a fantastic view to all sides. Wonderful! Onlz sad part> the metal fece (which is there for security reasons) has very small openings; so if you want to take decent pictures and are not using a smartphone it will be tough (but not impossible). Best thing: You can park for free on any side of the building for max. 2 hours.
