Story

Neergaard Pharmacy is a unique and professional pharmacy located in Park Slope, Brooklyn. Neergaard has been serving the community for generations. Julius De Neergaard was an immigrant from Denmark. He opened a pharmacy after passing the NY state boards in 1888. He purchased a building and in 1901 he opened a pharmacy that remained opened 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The 24 hour service became the hallmark and logo of Neergaard Pharmacy. It wasn’t until 1965 a pharmacy in Manhattan remained opened 24 hours.

Saved the day! Excellent pharmacy and staff. Had a nebulizer in stock for my son's asthma when I couldn't find one anywhere else in NYC. Open on Sunday! Helpful pharmacist and team. Thank you!!!!
Every single time we go to pick up a presscription its either out of stock and "might be coming in tonight" or you have to wait 45 min. I continue to go because my mom keeps sending her meds there but this time took the prize. We went last week and were told meds would be coming tues. Tues was told maybe tonight so we decided to wait till Thursday. My mom goes in and stands around for 20 min only to be told may come in tonight. CVS here we come
The pharmacy has helped me more times then I can count over the past 40 years. They are always pleasant and very knowledgeable. I just wish they were still opened 24x7. But I understand why they are not.
Pharmacy staff is miserable and very rude. I got reprimanded like a child for not "picking up" a script. They were adamant they had called my home number several times. When I politely asked them to check the number on file, it was incorrect. No apology from them.
I’ve been coming here since I was very young it hasn’t changed it’s the best pharmacy to get all your needs and it doesn’t have to be just medicines

Great place everything you need, however overpriced compared to Walgreens up the street as well as the CVS. Fantastic toy story literally upstairs, one of the last few REAL toy stores around & as a mom to an almost 5 year old daughter I love this shop , and she definitely does too!! Without a doubt, something to look into from party supplies to birthday gifts , and holidays. Just fantastic all the way around the broad the toy shop is located right upstairs and entrance is also located on the side with an elevator too !!
The people working at the pharmacy section are so rude the pharmacist is great
I’ve been going here for years. Being privately owned & local gem in Park Slope They provide a personal experience & care. Lisa Jackie of all trades in surgical has taken care of my family & I for years. She always has a smile & extremely patient with the seniors that require additional support. I 5 Star this local pharmacy!!
