We loved staying at the Nellis TLF. The room was amazing plenty of space for the fam and our animals. The closets were huge the kitchen had the essentials, the beds smaller but comfortable. They didn’t have a washer a dryer in the room but they do have a whole room of them on property. There was a pet relief area. Everyone was friendly and accommodating.
Front desk has terrible attitude. Needed to switch from main building to the Warrior for mission execution, talked to one lady who said there was room and to move out of current room first. Moved out, went back to the front desk 10 minutes later, different lady said there was no vacancy at the Warrior. They magically pulled a room out of their rear end when it was obvious they didn't have their story straight. Not helpful.
The cleaning team is fantastic and so kind! They came by everyday Pet rooms are huge. Only allowed 2 pets and they are not allowed on furniture. Kinda hard to keep them off furniture.
Absent the smell of animal urine, a clear insect infestation, and visible black mold it's hard to imagine you are in an AF in; however, Nellis Inn was the best AF establishment where I've ever stayed. It is missing a gym on the inside, but they have business center with computers and a coffee shop on the inside that sells breakfast burritos.
If I could give no stars I would. My family booked a tlf room in advance. Oh and my wife is 8 months pregnant. We drove 7 hrs on a known busy weekend we knew all rooms in Vegas were going to be sold out. My wife called the inn twice to reconfirm our reservation was guaranteed before leaving even though we got an email notification. We got to the inn and got checked in. Upon walking into tlf it appeared someone was staying there so we called the front and the lady told us it was never cleaned and that we couldn't stay there for the night or tomorrow night. We offered to just get clean sheets and clean the room ourselves. She said no we cant stay the weekend. We told her it's a busy weekend in Vegas and we have no where to stay, she said no again. We explained that we made reservations, my wife is 8 month pregnant and that there are no rooms available at all. We called around Vegas for rooms and what do you know no rooms available. We have no where to stay and we are here for two nights. Thanks for screwing us over and leaving us roomless. It is 2200 and we are about to sleep in our car I hope you're proud of yourself. But Thx for accommodating us with a list of shady hotels within 5 miles of base that you knew were going to be sold out like we said all hotels would be! Zero help, zero compassion and understanding of our situation basically promised a room for 2 nights then getting put out because of a mistake on your end.
Nice place to stay. Friendly staff. Clean, comfortable, affordable rooms. Conveniently located.Rooms: 5/5
This place is amazing! Clean, organized, very well maintained rooms. We stayed at the TLF with our large family on leisure. They don’t reserve for leisure stays, except on short notice and with space available. We got lucky. We were charged $120/night. All the kids we had with us had their own sleeping spaces there were 6 spaces total and we had a very clean and tidy kitchen with dining area to add to our little apartment. It was very nice. The ride to the strip was about 20 minutes, to include parking time. Easy in and easy out in a gated community:.
We were not sure we wanted to stay at a base for our vacation since we have stayed in military lodgings before in other States. Well this one surpassed our hopes that it would be better. Front desk customer service was welcoming and so helpful with information. We arrive late in the morning because of our four hour flight delay and we were afraid that we would have lost our reservation. She told us not to worry and the room would be held for us. Nice on the phone and in person. Wonderful experience, clean, and large rooms. The rooms and the whole surrounding area looked like it had been renovated or brand new. The Pix/commissary were within walking distance. We didn't use the kitchen much but it was a very nice size and had all we would have needed if we had used it utensil, plates, hand towels, cups etc. Full size refrigerator too. Did laundry nice size commerical washing machines and dryers they even supplied the soap etc. Excellent price and very quiet. Some jet's on practice runs in the morning at times but that didn't bother us we wake up early and they are so beautiful to watch and after all it is a base. Would definitely stay there again and again. Thanks for not disappointing us!
You can make a reservation and when you show up they will have something totally different or nothing at all for you. The front desk reps have terrible attitudes and will argue back with you about the situation. I was denied a pet friendly room because they didn’t know how to read my dogs shot records. I had to go off base and find accommodations at my own expense, they rejected to give me the form needed to get reimbursed for my expense.
I loved the room here and the view. Cleanliness and upkeep of room is good too. They have friendly staff.
