Super rude office. I called 12/14 to make an appointment, no return call. I call today and I'm asked who referred me. I have a PPO, so I can refer myself. I was told I need a referring doctor, so they can get records. She said that a patient cannot provide their own records and labs. I've never had this issue at any physician referring myself. I was told by a genetic doctor to see a kidney doctor regarding my issue. I actually found them through the Anthem website for care, and they had positive reviews. I was hoping to see Dr. Huang, but with the attitude of her staff, there is no way I would go there. I've lost time trying to get in to see someone and they do not care at all.
Dr. Sarani takes time with his patients and explains things I can understand.
I have only seen Dr. Minna Huang twice. The first time, I was seen on time. The second time, I was seen 15 minutes before my 9:00am appointment. While the doctor is fast and on time, she is still thorough. During my second visit, she instructed me to double my intake of Vitamin D3 and another medication. This was on a Friday. By Monday, I found that the prescriptions sent to my pharmacy from her office were the same as previous dosages, therefore, there were no increases. I called to let them know Monday afternoon. I didn’t get a call back. By Tuesday, I called again to let them know that I didn’t get the correct prescriptions. I finally got a call back from her annoyed assistant and found that her notes did not reflect the correct dosage of the Vitamin D3. I asked the assistant to check with the doctor about the increase, because she wanted me to double the dosage of the Vitamin D3 because it was low. Because it was low, my PTH was going up. Then with the second medication, the assistant had just made a mistake with the dosage. This confusion with my existing medicinal dosages and new dosages made me believe that they were not aware of my medications, of which there are about 14! Either they didn’t have a list, or they were not checking the list before sending my pharmacist new ones. This was new for me in my previous experiences with inefficiencies of doctors and their staff. I had never had confusion about my meds, simply because it is modus operandi for doctors’ offices to get a list of their patients’ meds. For this office, I guess it’s not their modus operandi. There is usually now a way to email the doctor directly, but not in this office also. I just feel rushed when I am in their office and uncared for when I am speaking to staff on the phone or having to call them a couple of times about the important issue of my medications. I am forced to look elsewhere for more humane care.
The review responses from the office staff / doctor on here are deplorable at best. State should revoke the permit to allow this office to continue. No one ever answers the phone and office staff is rude. My dad will end up on dialysis before he ever gets an appointment in this office. And before you tell me to “go somewhere else” believe me I’m trying to, but not before I file a grievance and let other know to avoid this office like a condemned toxic waste dump. Getting mad at people for speaking the truth is one thing but to tell someone to go someplace else is flat out wrong. Maybe your office should go someplace else - far away.
The staff here is horrible, no one picks up the phone and on top of it, they don't call you to let you know that they had to cancel your appointment because the doctor left early. So you end up wasting your time by showing up there. Half the time it looks like the girls are just standing around joking and not doing their job. Good luck getting an appointment with the doctor or anything else from her.
Don't waste your time here. Per their receptionist Lucy, their normal wait time is 1.5 hours past your appointment time and they cannot notify patients of this. No apologies and no guarantee that you will be seen by the doctor that day.
I have always seen the dr everytime I go here but the wait sometimes is long. I have been seeing Dr. Sarani for over a year and he always takes his time and explains everything clearly.
Office staff not helpful at all.
I have never had a problem with the dr or staff. They have answered my questions and have always been respectful
