Nevada City Farmers Market

This is one of the cozier farmers markets that I've been to: maybe 25 vendors at most and I would usually need a map, but not here. I think there is a nice variety of produce, dairy, bath/home goods -- but I think one of the stand-out market stalls was the lady with the bread. Apparently she makes her own sourdough starter and the rye we had was delicious.

For those looking to spend an hour picking up local ingredients on a limited basis, it's fine. Personally, I was hoping for a bit more choice. The vendors are pleasant. Most items were on the pricier end of the spectrum.

Excellent farmers market, with a variety of food producers and other artisans.

4-stars not for its size (it's small), but because any genuine farmers' market is a very important aspect of our culture.
