Neves Fish Market

Great fresh fish, no frills. Nice selection of canned fish, some beers, wines, and salted cod. Some frozen stuff octopus and live crab and lobster. Odd hours, but solid product.

Bought 6 oysters just prior to closing. They were fresh, but had less liquor than I expected- may be due to my technique in opening them with a screwdriver. Service was great. Here's the oysters I bought after prepping them!

Friendly, knowledgeable staff is always ready to help. Best selection of fresh seafood I've found. I get Salted Cod here, it can be difficult to find. They have a good selection which is something I haven't seen anywhere else. I call ahead since I need a large quantity, they've never had a problem filling my order the same day I call. If there's a family business that could use local support, it's Neves. Please let's show our support!

Small shop. Friendly. Came by within 30 minutes of closing and was helpful in explaining the differences between the two oysters offered better for grilling vs eating raw. Good pricing compared to a bigger chain supermarket. Lots of other pantry items offered too canned fish, etc.

The word "Market" in the name can be a bit misleading especially when you enter the store which is just a small space with rather small selection of seafood. It should be called Neves Seafood. The wife owner is very nice, friendly and humble. This is a new business for this husband and wife couple. The seafood comes from mostly regional sources, and freshness is good depending when you come. The fish I got was delivered four days ago. Could have been better if I came earlier. Prices are competitive.

Small, clean, fresh fish market with some Portuguese specialty items in cans or frozen, plus a selection of Portuguese wine and beer. Oysters available regularly, along with live crab and lobster. Special orders are available as well...even delivery!

It's a hidden gem. Tiny seafood store with just a few kinds of fish. I've got perfectly fresh halibut, a live crab, and a bottle of Portuguese wine - everything was great. Will get some oysters next time

Love this spot! Local, fresh, and delicious seafood as well as meats and other snacks sold here! The first time I came here dungeoness crab was something like $3.99 a pound! I got two very large live crabs. I like that they empty the water from the crabs before weighing them, honest people peddling high quality product! I also got Portuguese sausages and dried, pressed, salted, fava bean snacks. I steamed the crabs at home and grilled the sausages, very fresh crab, super sweet meat. The sausages were also pretty good, if you have not tried dungeoness crab or Portuguese sausages before I would highly recommend! I have been back since, prices vary based on what they catch, but quality has always been superb! Will be back soon!

My fav go-to place for seafood! Their seafood is fresh and price is reasonable. Owner lady is super nice! I never really go to other place for seafood after I learned about this place. I’ve tried their clams, scallops, shrimps, and different fish. They’re all very good! Every day they have different seafood in store so if there’s a specific kind you’re looking for be sure to call before coming.
