I have been so thrilled with the counseling my 9 year old has received from Michael Barnette.  My son has taken away several concepts that he has been able to apply in every day life, for example:  my son struggles in reading and is very hard on himself about it, Michael taught him that instead of saying "I'm not good at reading" to say "I'm not good at reading YET".    Since our sessions he has a lot more faith in his abilities and understands that it's ok not be as good in reading as everyone else, he's even improved his grades and came home with all A's and B's on his progress report!!  (WOW!!) Michael is very patient and listens to my son, I am very grateful for him!
