Know around Fat Tuesday paczkis, they only make them the week before. Besides different sheet cakes sliced so you can buy it by the piece. Much smaller than the other bakery down the street.
Ordered Paczki's from them for Paczki Day and they were good. The line was long, but it moved fairly fast. I tried the Chocolate Bavarian Cream, Strawberry, Guava, Custard, and Boston Creme. Not a fan of their Bavarian Cream, but everything else I tried was delicious. I enjoyed the custard and the jelly was flavorful. Since it was my first time purchasing Paczki, you tell me if $17 for a dozen was a fair price. Next year I'll try a new place, but I wouldn't mind going back.
I thoroughly enjoyed going to the new Martha Washington Bakery. I was able to get some authentic Polish desserts and I got to sample a couple of the items that I got. It's a very clean place, the owner was very engaging and I walked out with some wonderful Polish desserts and cookies that I'll be bringing back to Ohio with me when I leave on Monday from Hamtramck Michigan.
Excellent service, tasty treats, and very reasonable prices. A huge slice of cake or brownie more than enough to split between two people is only $3.50. Cookies are $1.50 or $10 per pound
The paczki were completely dry, and barely filled. We tossed them and went to another bakery. Really disappointing considering the great reviews and the price.
Um um um good ! Just the same like back in the days when I was a child Thee place to go for a sweet tooth ,my favorite is the cheese cake !
Actually not as impressed as I was with Family bakery, though they do have more flavors of Punchkies than any others, and they are very good. Their black raspberry is fantastic and their butter cream is good too. So fresh they are fantastic, but not the best a day later. So it depends on if you want them to last or not. If you're eating them right away, then they are well worth it.
Came today for some treats listed on Google its says its open till 6:00pm I came about 4:30pm and their closed . Please change your hours listed on Google if this isn't your actual hours for sunday's thanks.
Waited 3 Hours for a Dozen of Paczki. They were Dry, Hard, Not enough filling. On top of everything going up on prices. I spent $23.00 for a Dozen WHAT A WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY
Today 23 December 20, my husband went to the New Martha Bakery. When he brought the items home, I was so disappointed in the Walnut Crescent Cookies. They tasted rancid, as if the crushed walnuts were old, or perhaps the shortening was bad. Whatever, it was they were terrible, and left a bad aftertaste. The cheesecake had no flavor! Now for the better news the Kolaczki were good and tasted fresh. Haven't tried the Cannoli yet. Clearly you can tell we spent some money for this food, and I expected more then what I got. This is Hamtramack, the place most famous in MI for Polish food one of my favorites and baked goods. Won't shop there again.
