So great! Recommend hot & spicy beef!Food: 5/5
My all time favorite Chinese Food spot in Jax Hts. Like the food very much. I've ordered for a while now. The steamed shrimp dumplings are a must try not ordered today. Today I had the Beef & Scallop with mixed veggies, comes with white steamed rice. Also got an egg drop soup - my fave.
My favorite Chinese takeout since I was a child. Good memories all around, and the food is never disappointing.
I went there for lunch just because the Thai resto I went to initially was closed & ordered sweet & sour chicken. It was my 1st time there & I didn't know one of the dishes so I asked the lady who was taking my order. However, she answered me rudely. I told her that she shouldn't be mad because the reason why I asked her because I was clueless about that particular menu; otherwise I wouldn't ask. I was supposed to just back out after that but I was already hungry so I just proceeded & just ended up ordering sweet & sour chicken at least this dish I knew. To my surprised, the chicken didnt look like sweet & sour chic at all. It didnt come with any veggies bell pepper, pineapple, carrots etc.; but instead, it came with a pink sauce that looked so artificially colored & I didn't even dare to taste it cuz it looked inedible too! I told the lady about it that it didn't looked like sweet & sour but it's just like chicken nuggets but she just answered me that that's how they do it! The chicken tasted alright & crunchy but I don't think I will ever come back to eat there again ever. Also didnt like the fact that they are serving hot food in a styrofoam. Imagine the chemicals that might mix with your food when it's piping hot. I saw they serve the takeaway in a carton box which is the thing I like but why can't they do the same for dine in? The other thing I like is the comfortable seats they have. If you want decent Chinese food, better go to the other one named Woks which is in the same area, just a few walks away. The service there is way better as well as the food & they served it in a plate if you are dining in.
Quick delivery, food was hot and fresh. Only downside was there was a little too much excess oil in the core chow fun I ordered. Vegetarian options: The fried rice, chow fun, lo mein, and chow mein can all be ordered with vegetables instead of meat. There is also a vegetarian menu with bean curd and tofu entrees.
It is mainly a Chinese take-out, even though dine-in is also acceptable. Food or entry price is reasonable and is relatively fresh. Food items are traditional items sold at other Chinese take-out. The Take-out does sell a selection of vegetarian dishes, including bean curds. Restaurant would accommodate customers' order request to reduce salt, oil, sugar and other flavor.
They do not tell you when you order that they accept no credit cards. I gleefully left a large bag of food on the counter. Basic economics would dictate that credit card surcharges amount to less than lost business. Maybe they should enter the 21st century. All-cash businesses should be targeted by the IRS as tax evaders and money launderers.
The location is small. It could be cleaner. Prices are good.
There's nothing special about their food. They lack taste and freshness. The only reason why I choose to go here on occasion it's because I'm hungry and this is the only place open that's not too $$. I don't think they even try or care to make it tasty.
With so many Chinese restaurant in Jackson heights is hard finding a good one Peking is by far one of the best ones food is very tasty and Prices are very reasonable and the place is well maintain and clean.
