I saw Americano here and it was one of the best shows I've ever seen. Absolutely phenomenal! It was based on the true story of a man who was a Dreamer and his journey to citizenship. He moved here with his parents when he was two and never knew he wasn't a citizen until he tried to join the Marines which was a lifelong dream and became his goal after 9-11. It was the last night of the show and we were honored to have the people the story was written about in the audience. I also got a picture with the amazing and oh so kind choreographer and met an awesome guy sitting next to me who loves Broadway as much as I do so now I have a new Broadway buddy. We both laughed, cried and danced through the entire show. It was heart wrenching and heartwarming! The dancing and singing was contagious! Truly a dream to witness!
I attended two shows here Avenue Q years ago and ¡Americano! recently. The location is an easy walk from Penn Station or the Port Authority. The theater itself has four stages and the seating and view are comfortable.
We had a front row seat for The Play That Goes Wrong". The play is truly hilarious, and the front row is on the edge of the action, with props landing nearby, and "paint thinner" spewed from the cast. The photo was taken before the show began.
Modern off broadway theater complex with multiple stages with top quality facilities and very nice staff
Fantastic smallish off B'way venue. Great seating with excellent views. Would suggest they don't sell candy on re entry after the interval as some theatre goers don't realize they are not home and wrappers/eating is noisy... Would absolutely return. Fiddler on the Roof in Yiddish was fantastic! Would suggest subtitles on upper center panel as well for future.
Fresh modern theatre. There are three theaters within. Escalators, stairs and handicap elevator service takes you down. I have been to several performances at each theatre and they all where really good. Box office to the right with in entrance. E train is located down the block. Easy walking distance to other trains. Street parking is hard it's a busy area. Use a parking lot but recommend transit.
I loved the intimacy of this place. We saw the play that goes wrong and it was fantastic. They had a shack guy going around during intermission and a bar when you arrived.
A comfortable theater space 4 all. 5 separate theaters inside the building. Gender neutral rest rooms.
Had a great time here for a production of The Play That Goes Wrong. Wonderful cast, excellent production. I'd note that the seats are quite small and will not be comfortable for some. In addition, seats in the front row are very close to the stage and some views are obstructed. Despite these concerns, I had a marvelous time and should definitely recommend checking it out!
Saw The Play That Goes Wrong here. Bar staff was incredibly friendly. Easy to access from a subway line and great show. Cool off-Broadway theatre! Still unsure on why they make you line up outside of the theatre until 15 minutes prior to the show starting.
