This is a wonderful organization! I spent a month at NYC Audubon, on Governors Island, several years ago as an artist-in-residence. I was very impressed with the children’s programs as well as the very knowledgeable bird walk guides. The programs during the pandemic have been great and I look forward to all of them.
they're awful. period. wouldn't know a bird if it flew up their collective azzzes. useless.
NYC runs great programs for bird lovers; including lectures, field trips and bird advocacy like "Project Safe Flight" which monitors migrating birds. They sponsor beach clean ups and organize bird rescue and transport. A great organization that helps birds every day.
This location was a purely administrative office, and wasn't a place to "visit" at all. The friendly folks answered my questions by I left before taking up too much of their time. I was suggested to go to Audubon's seasonal popup on governors island since it's more a visiting type place.
