THIS PARTICULAR NYCS IS IN A VERY NICE LOCATION, A VARIETY OF FOOD, THE MUSEUM OF NATURAL HISTORY IS NEAR, THE 1 TRAIN IS A BLOCK AWAY, GREAT NEIGHBORHOOD... THE FACILITY HAS 5 FLOORS, AS WELL AS A WORKING ELEVATOR, THE 4TH FLOOR IS HAS UPPER BODY AND 3 LEG MACHINES A BIT SNUG, BUT AS FAR AS I KNOW THEY DONT GET LARGE CROWDS HERE, WHICH IS GOOD, ALL TRAINING LEVELS HAVE GREAT NATURAL LIGHT, THERE IS A BIG ROOM THEY USE ON THE 5TH FLOOR FOR CLASSES, AND STRETCHING, IF A CLASS IS IN SESSION THEY HAVE OTHER STRETCH AREAS 2ND FLOOR, HAS TREADMILLS AND MORE UPPER BODY MACHINES 2 STRETCH AREAS , CABLES COUPLE OF LEG CURL MACHINES , IT IS A PRETTY DECENT GYM ... PROBLEM NO PAPER TOWELS TO DRY HANDS OR TO WIPE DOWN THE MACHINE AFTER SPRAYING IT WITH SANITIZER, ALSO NOT ENOUGH MAINTENANCE WORKERS , LOCKER ROOMS ARE PRETTY O.K, BATHROOM NEEDS CONSISTENT ATTENTION, BUT SHOWERS NEED TO BE RENOVATED, BUT WILL GET THE JOB DONE, ... BUT A BONUS THEY ARE THE ONLY FITNESS FACILITY I BEEN TO THAT HAS A STEAM ROOM AND A SAUNA, SUPER COOL TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THAT, I LIKE THE FACILITY OVER ALL AND I WOULD COME BACK.... CHECK IT OUT FOR YOURSELF

Definitely the worst gym ever. The manager lady signing people up is nasty. Do not believe her. I've been going to gyms for over 40 years and this place is the worst run ever. Unless you are paying their trainers, the management, trainers and staff will treat you like second rate citizens. They have no gym rules posted and the trainers can claim work out machines when there is only one like it, for as long as they like, whether they are training a client or working out themselves, sometimes taking up two machines at a time. If you ask them how long they are going to be, they take offense and management will back them up and throw you out claiming you are being disrespectful. When you call the corporate office, they simply say they can't override the managers decision, so there is no oversight. The locker rooms are not safe and have break-ins all the time and have locker doors falling off their hinges. Paint is falling from the ceilings and machines don't work half the time. You can have a much better experience at either Blink or Planet Fitness for $10.00 bucks a month for a much better gym experience.

Friendly staff, good cleaning protocols, spacious layout. I'm pleased with how this gym has come back after the COVID shutdown. I train with a personal trainer twice a week in this club, and I don't spend much other time here, but I've been pleased with my experience.

I enjoy this gym however it’s not clean. Trash on the floor, hair in the sauna, a sink in the woman’s locker has been out of order for like six months. It’s disappointing. Do better NYSC : Front desk person told me HQ got ride of in house cleaning staff and are now out sourcing the cleaning crew. Not a good look.

This club is rundown and cleanup is spotty. Just yesterday i had a sneezing attack once I landed on an elliptical machine. When i looked under and inside the machine, it was covered with a thick blanket of dust! Clearly no one has maintained the equipment or cleaned under it for a long time. It was really gross. Also, the wet disinfectant wipes are often unavailable on the second floor and management thinks hat substituting a communal towel to wipe down the equipment is a fine solution. I can’t think of a better way to spread germs than to have 40 to 60 people a day use the same towel to clean equipment!!

5 floors of fitness on this site. The entrance has a huge selection of cardio machine and stair climbers and water vending machines with energy drinks. The second third fourth and fifth are aerobics floor with hack squats on one side and the other floors have a huge selection of free weights and cyber plus hammer strength machines everything you need for full body workout.

Don't believe a word they say when you sign up. Do not deal with Jamie. She is the worst. She will fake being nice and then forget it. It's nasty all the way. Do not join this gym if you ever plan on canceling. The UWS location told me repeatedly that the only way to cancel was in person with a manager, so I made 3 attempts to visit them in person to cancel before moving, and on all 3 occasions the front desk told me there was no manager on duty. Seriously, before you join make sure you look this place up on consumer affairs. They have a 1/5 star rating with 79 reviews. This company is unbelievably fraudulent and I had no idea based on the yelp reviews I read. They don't paint the whole picture at all. If you join this gym you will definitely end up regretting it. Eventually I had to move away and tried repeatedly to call the location to cancel but each time I was told that the manager had just stepped out. I literally called 14 times over a month and a half time frame, at various times of the day on different days. I got this response every single time. I even called the corporate member services and was told that they would cancel my account for me which is in direct contradiction to what everyone at the UWS location said was possible, however even THEY didn't cancel the membership after they said they would and I continued to get charged each month.

I came in to check out the club today at this location. Very disappointed at the poor customer service. Spanish woman behind the desk was rude. I asked her for a tour of the gym and she acted like she didn’t understand what I was saying. When I tried to explain, she proceeded to talk over me to speak to someone passing by. Staff needs to be taught professionalism. I won’t be returning.

STAY AWAY! DON'T BELIEVE A WORD THEY SAY WHEN THEY SIGNED YOU UP! They play nice, tell you you can make changes/cancel, then will change their story and will not let you cancel. Awful customer service. Do yourself a favor, use any other gym in the area.

FRAUD/SCAM! Unethical management! They will promise you deals to join and begin a memebership with them but noy fulfill these promises and treat you terribly. The male manager I am unsure of the spelling, Ahbadu promised me an extra month free upon signing but then charged me for the month. Everytime I talked to them about being refunded they said they were updating their systems so it would have to wait a couple more weeks. It has now been two months and I have cancelled my membership and I just called to try to discuss my refund again. I spoke to the lady manager whose name I am unsure of bc she would never tell me on the phone said "if discussion of a refund it taking two months then it most likely is not happening" and when I mentioned I would dispute it with my credit card company if they could not resolve the matter stated "whoever kept pushing your refund probably did so because the longer you wait to dispute your claims the less likely it will actually work" and when I communicated my shock at how this was being handled and how it felt fraudulent and like I was being scammed she stated "I have no idea what your are talking about, this phone call never happened and I have never spoken to you about this." Throughout this she was yelling at me and without saying the actual words, telling me they will never refund me and will fight my dispute. Very clear that they never intended to give me a deal and only said that so I would sign a membership with them. Terrible management, awful customer service, extremely unacceptable and I am appalled by their actions.
