I got a fine to pay so I called customer service to ask how to pay for it. The first lady I talked with was giving me a response on where to do and I appreciated what she said, but throughout the call she was rude. I was asking her questions and she responded but sounded like she didn’t care at all. Then I called again to ask about online payment as it wasn’t working and another lady talked to me. She was also rude and said I would have to wait. I was asking her questions but she interrupted me and sounded like she didn’t care. Overall, customer service is HORRIBLE and the people behind them are clueless on how to talk with people. They should learn how to talk and listen to others as well as showing care for the people. I hope someone from customer support team sees this and understand why they have 1 star rating.
Love being told that I need to call to check a court date just for the courts to never pick up. And then the individual is slapped with a ticket in the face for failing to appear in court
Everything about downtown Newark from Lafayette to Green St is garbage. No parking, unnecessarily expensive lots, unnaturally aggressive crackheads & police alike. The Municipal building appears as if it might crumble while you’re on the steps and the workers may as well speak a language of their own because they never seem to answer your questions or have any idea of anything that happens there even though they work there,
I called about tickets I received in the mail that were incorrect and under a vehicle I traded in a year prior. The woman who I spoke with was extremely polite and very helpful, so much so that it’s why I’m leaving a review.
It’s impossible to call and communicate with someone I don’t even know why they have a phone number
Don’t bother disputing your parking ticket in this terrible city. The court will find you guilty more money for the city and charge you an extra $20 JUST because you disputed it and they found you guilty. What a scam. Paying the court to do their job is crazy.
by far the worse court system ever! I had a court case pending, and was unable to contact the personal in that department. WHen i did get a rep, they treat you with the worse manners. As if im charging them per answer.. besides the attitude they did not help at all. When court date came.. Waited over TWO HOURS with no case update.. Wasted an entire morning for no reason just for the lady to be rude and say They will mail a letter home.. PLEASE DO YOUR JOB THE RIGHT WAY!! understand without the people going to court, you would not have a job.
I called to get a summons resolved that I received as a mistake with the Park Mobile app. I called to ask how can I get it removed and she said I can send in the mail the information for the judge to see or I can get a court date via zoom. I choose mail in procedure and ask if it will be resolved before the date on the ticket. She said that she can’t guarantee it. Really? That I ask for the web address for to zoom with the judge in case if I change my mind and she said “You can do both, it will clog up the system….” City of Newark employees needs customer service skills immediately. I didn’t get a “hello, may I help you”. It takes less energy to be nice and professional to people than being ill-mannered using extra energy.
Horrible service, the people in the front desk work horribly slow or don’t wanna do their job at all. Plus so hard to find parking and when you do you get a ticket. I hate this place for real
I have had a few issues with Newark Municipal Court. The first thing is, they are terribly busy. As far as professional and courteous service??? Whatever I have asked of them, whether in person or on the phone, my questions are answered. Not always super kind, but definitely not a turn off. Yes, sometimes it is hard to get through and yes, you may wait a long time...try calling in New York or Philly. It is and can be way worse. I guarantee. Long Live Newark, NJ
