Super cool.
I’ve been to this museum 3 times in the last month. I’m not impressed with the remodel it still looks a bit run down. Desk woman is not friendly.
However the layout, the pieces in the museum, and the museum itself are gems. I’ve brought a couple of friends to the museum and they were very impressed by the exhibits.
The staff that work within the museum are extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I am also happy that residents and students get in free.

Very elegant. A very calm and welcoming atmosphere. Nice for the children. The planetarium is fun. We loved the different exhibits they had on display and on the third floor we had a whole science class just from observstion. We loved it any will return again soon.

My boyfriend and I went here to check out the planetarium and ended up checking out the entire museum. The staff were so nice to us and pleasant and such a clean place. I would recommend going here for a nice quiet date or if you want to take your family to the planetarium. There weren't a lot of people so we were able to really appreciate the museum. We had a great experience and definitely will be back again.

The new exhibits are very nice. Everyone loves the Ballentine house. Which showcases a wealthy home during the Victorian era. A famous artist helped revamp the dining room by adding a few guest having dinner and making a comical mockery out of manners during that era. Its very entertaining imagining what is actually happening. And the fabric choice of the figures clothing is loud and daring but beautiful all at once.
They also have an exhibit that shows the evolution of a living room and how the usage went from communities as informal and communal and minimalistic with the depletion of agrarian lifestyles to the surge of industrialization that created more privatized and even elititist social norms that reflects in the modernization of the living room/parlor rooms.
Of course the museum has a collection of relics from ancient Greece, Rome, Egypt. There is a Tibetan exhibit, an African exhibit, a native American exhibit. There is a section for children to learn healthy saving and spending habits as well as a mini zoo with frogs, reptiles, and bugs. The kid friendly exhibits have been the same for over 10 years but it serves its purpose. To really take in everything you need to go more than once.
They also change the collections frequently. Also there is a planetarium.
