Its just a paved platfrom under a overpass, giving three stars since there is alot of construction going on so it seems like they are trying to imporve the place

I just wish trains will stop by Newark station at all times instead of stopping in Wilmington station and have people use the 59 dart bus.
* station is nice with a lot of free Parkings.

For Amtrak Station "Newark, DE" (NRK), there is ample free parking is on the South Side of Rt 896 (South College Ave). For Septa all trains are boarded on the South Side, but Amtrack uses both North and South sides of the tracks. If one can not climb stairs, this likely would not be a good Amtrak station. Parking and South Side are well lit and there was a staff person on-site. For Amtrak North Bound (toward NY)Trains are loaded on the south side.
For Amtrak South Bound (toward DC) trains are boarded on the North Side but there is no large sign to tell you this. One needs to walk to the south side area (big green sign says North Bound Trains), cross under 896 and take stairs up to pedestrian bridge (small sign telling you to do so) , then walk across tracks on pedestrian bridge, and then descend stairs to a semi-illuminated area with no seating. Cover is under the old Historic Train Station (now a museum). Some people may not feel comfortable waiting near the tracks, so might suggest staying on the pedestrian bridge until train is scheduled to arrive.
Amtrak Boarding/departing was only from the Café Car. Something to keep in mind when finding a seat if Newark, DE is your destination. Only a couple of Amtrak trains stop at Newark, DE each day so perhaps not a good choice if you need might have a flexible schedule. Overall liked using the Newark Amtrak station.

Good. But Minus 1 star for some people confusing Newark Penn Station with this station.
