A cemetery first, but also an arboretum with many diverse trees, birds and even small wildlife. The walking paths and hilly views are very enjoyable. A quiet escape from the rest of busy, noisy Brooklyn.
It's the most beautiful cemetery I have ever visited. So peaceful. The ponds are gorgeous and nice to rest by. My favorite part is the koi fish by the urns. If you need some nature time and peace and quiet and can not bare the thought of having to go to crowed, dirty Prospect Park, Greenwood is for you.
I love this place i go to see my mom and dad every single day after school. It helps you get away from loud and busy Brooklyn,NY. It has nice nature and be thankful for what you have and dont be selfish. R.I.P POP SMOKE, AND KING VON
I know it's a cemetery, but it's peaceful and the architecture is beautiful inside. Give it a visit if you're in the area and in the Sunset Park neighborhood. Grab some coffee from across the street at Baked in Brooklyn.
I’m a nyc native and definitely do not come here enough. Beautiful place, well kept, lots of history, very peaceful
The Green-Wood Cemetery is one of the most beautiful Cemeteries in the world. I know I shouldn't say this but if you get a chance to visit it take a walk around it. There are some amazing graves. I know, I know I'm coming off a little morbid but some of the architecture is amazing.
My favorite place in Brooklyn! It’s a gem hidden in plain sight and I’m lucky to live close enough to visit almost daily.
