I don't usually write reviews but would like to share my poor experience with Nill Brothers. We ordered several uniforms, backpacks, catchers bags and helmets for 2 of our softball teams in August. The original order was easy and stress free. A gentleman named Fred had helped us and he was great! Near the end of the fall season, I contacted the store because I needed to order some additional items-another catchers bag, helmet and a set of catchers gear. I was handed off to Rob Watts who assured me the order would be placed right away and I would have everything in a few weeks. I emailed Rob in early December to check on the order, He mentioned there was an issue with an item being on backorder but it should arrive soon. I also told him I needed an additional jersey and some extra pants and he said he would get it handled as well. In early January I emailed him again. He gave another excuse and blamed the delay on the distributors yet again. I explained to him that we would be playing on Valentines Day and it was imperative that I have the items on time. He assured me I would everything on time. On Monday, I sent another email to Rob. He told me the flu bug had swept through the warehouse and a merger between 2 companies was causing all of the delay issues. But, rest assured, I would still have everything on time. He told me to email him today-Friday, and the order would be complete. I waited until 2pm and emailed him yet again before making the 45 minute drive. After pining him down on exactly what he did have, he finally admitted that he only had the helmet stickers! What's even more troubling is one of our other teams placed an order with a different "team wear" employee in January and they've received everything-including the exact same helmets and backpacks that were supposedly on backorder! I prefer to support local business' like Nill Brothers. "Mom and Pop" stores have a bit of nostalgia and customer service that isn't usually found from the big box mega retailers. Unfortunately, Nill Brothers and Rob Watts, fall woefully short of my modest expectations. Much to my chagrin, I went ahead and ordered the items I need online. I'll have everything delivered to my doorstep within 72 hours. Amazingly, everything was in stock! If you're looking for team wear might I suggest a quick Google search of other local business' who would hopefully be more honest and eager to earn and retain your business.
