Niraj Yoga

What a beautiful yoga community in the heart of Portland. I stopped into the studio while in town for a business meeting and it was the best way to kick-off my time in Portland. The space is extremely peaceful and I was so delighted that mats, meditation blankets and blocks were free for students. The first class was even free! Our teacher was wonderful and knowledgeable on the practice. There were only 4 students so it felt like a private class. There is a small gift shop in the lobby and I loved the mustache shaped eye masks with lavender. No doubt, I'll definitely return to Niraj during my next trip to Portland.

Absolutely By far the best yoga in portland Maine. The owners and teachers are dedicated to there own practices and it shows in the way they teach. Ive been practicing yoga for about 6 years and I've been to many studios and had many teachers. They definitely stand out and Niraj is for sure my go to place to practice. Plus they offer teacher trainings for 200 hour as well as 500 hour for those of you who want to become teachers. I'm signed up for there 200 hour training and I can't wait to start.

Signed up for an Illumina Flow K2 class while I was vacationing in Portland. It was wonderful. The instructor was kind and kept the class moving. There was a second instructor there to help with flow. While the class was clearly above my skill level, I felt welcome, unjudged, and unpressured to keep up. If I ever find myself back in Portland, I'll go back to Niraj Yoga!

The instructors who run this studio space have changed the way I view the yoga practice. In the past, I used it as a tool to simply stretch out my body but in the last few years I have discovered it offers much more than that. The instructors have a gift where they weave themes into a practice; a beautiful way to story-tell...the space is clean + serene. Niraj is a sweet community of wonderful people.

Amazing yoga! Best in portland! I love all the teachers! The workshops that Niraj host are always heart opening and rejuvenating... I always feel at home on my mat while in the space...

Molly offered a beautiful yoga class that encompassed mudras, asana and messaging throughout. It was so refreshing to have the Sanskrit names called out as well! I loved the variations that were given as options and the opportunities to invert. Thank you again! I’ll be back next time I’m in Portland!
