Nita Desai

Dr. Desai has been my gyn for about 2 years, and I am so grateful I found her! She told me straight up about every procedure, risks, benefits etc. She explained my issues and was very straight forward with information and what she thought the best plan of care was for me. She did my hysterectomy just over a year ago and although it's a scary procedure to go through she talked to me every step of the way and made me feel comfortable. I now have another unrelated to the hystero issue with an ovary and will definitely be going back to see her!!!

Dr. Desai has been my physician for a year. She's competent, caring, assertive, gentle, and gives simple yet direct explanations. She did my excision surgery a month ago and I am so pleased with the care I received during that nerve racking time. Sometimes it takes awhile to get a call back from her but she always called eventually. She was always on top of what needed to be done, and I recommend her without reservation!

I struggle with endometriosis and was referred to her I requested her because I did my research because we were trying to conceive for over a year and my pain was getting worse every month. She is very knowledgeable, thorough, compassionate, and really listens to you. I decided to go through with a lap surgery with the da Vinci robot for excision of endometriosis and I couldn't be more happy that I found her. I have never had a doctor be that involved with my care from start to finish. I had some minor complications post-op and she was easy to get in touch with and treated them all without issues. She's amazing! <3 Also, after my surgery, she took my husband in a private consult room he said other surgeons were coming out and talking to families out in the open at first he got nervous but she immediately put him at ease and just said she liked to make sure its more private to not violate HIPAA. He was really impressed with as well!

I was referred to her after a long struggle with constant pelvic pain. She knew what it was immediately. Since the 3 years I have seen her she has completed 2 surgeries for me. She is honestly a God send and I am so blessed that she is my physician. She is highly skilled, intelligent and compassionate. I think she is the first doctor I have ever trusted. Highly recommend . The staff is all very kind and amazing.

I had doubts at first about Dr. Desai, she's a very matter of fact women. But I have had to have over 5 surgeries to my abdomen because of health issues and I always had to have many blood and plasma transfusions and was always in emense pain. Dr. Desai took my case and I had surgery on my abdomen again I woke up from surgery feeling well in pain but the best I've ever felt after a surgery and I had to have ZERO blood transfusions! She's really an amazing lady and physician! I just can't express the thanks I have to her and her team for how careful they were with me during and after the surgery. Thank you Dr. Desai!! And thank you to the rest of her team! You guys made my hospital stay a little brighter too! : everyone was always all smiles and would make jokes and laughter helps while your in the hospital that's for sure!

Dr. Nita Desai at Dignity Health st josephs hospital is so so amazing. She just recently completed a laparoscopic hystorectomy on me and it was not easy. She had her work cut out for her with all my scar tissues and ESSURE. She treated me and my family like we were family. She was caring compassionate and very clean. Always washed her hands explained everything in detail that inwardly had any questions left over. She listend to our concerns and was there 100%. I would reccomend her to anyone. Her office staff is even amazing. I called with a need and had a return call back and completion witjing 1 hour. I am so pleased with her care. Thank you Dr. Desai for being your wonderful, companshionate, self. You rock.

I'm actually surprised there are positive reviews for this doctor and facility. Guess I wasn't so lucky. I have had 4 surgeries due to endometriosis, each time having it grow back shortly after. I wanted to find a doctor i could trust and that could put an end to all these surgeries and pain. Not only have I been in worse pain since she did my surgery, but I have received ZERO help or relief from Dr. DeSai. She pushed 4 different kinds of muscle relaxers on me saying that it's muscle spasms. NOT ONE of the medications helped. I tried getting in contact with her or the office multiple times and my calls were never returned. I called and told her nurse Betty that I feel like I have no choice, but to go to the ER. That was at the end of August... never heard back from them. Never going back there again. I thought Dignity Health was all about "human kindness." Beyond disappointed and hurt by the "care" that I received by Dr. DeSai, her team, and the Dignity Health facility.

Nita was the fourth surgeon to perform the robotic endometriosis ablation on me. She failed to order the correct equipment before surgery and when I woke up was told that it was not done as intended. I was sent home shortly with extreme pain and she and the hospital failed horribly to control my pain. My pelvic pain symptoms severely increased after her surgery instead of going away as my prior surgeons had accomplished. After that, she had no idea how to fix her mess so she sent me off to pain managent . Recently after trying desperately for her office to fill out a single form to allow my insurance to cover IVF, Nita and her staff have ensured I will no longer be able to have children! Nita and her staff are in competitor, lazy, and severely behind on the research and surgical techniques for endometriosis and pelvic pain.

I just had a robotic hysterectomy on 12/12/2017 by Dr. Desai. She and her medical staff did an amazing job. They were all so friendly. I highly recommend her.

Dr. DESai is a wonderful Dr. She listens & is very thorough. She is caring & has great bed side manor. It was a breath of fresh air to meet with someone so helpful. Her staff was also amazing!
