This school isn’t as bad as some schools but it’s defininitely not great. The educators are horrible, the principal just has an awful personality yet all of them receive 5% raises. The food is absolutely disgusting, and just everything about it is down right god awful. I sincerely think of this as a juvinile detention center than an educational establishment. I mean this school has made so many kids become homeschooled! You shouldn’t have to WANT to become homeschooled! I personally hope I get some sort of disease or something just so I don’t have to come to this place. Everyone dreads even the thought of Nitro High yet they’re still forced to come. Apparently this school used to be amazing in the earlier times but now it’s just garbage! Why?! I really hope something changed to make this school amazing soon, but for now I just have to suffer until I hopefully graduate. Oh yeah, and the grades the teachers give are unorganized! Some teachers give assignments that are worth 1 POINT! Again, WHY?! ISNT IT BAD ENOUGH THIS SCHOOL SUCKS?! The only school this sorry excuse is better than is sissonville. But that’s just a maybe. This concludes my review for Nitro High School. Read it if you want a legitimate insight

Not a bad school, I guess. (Attended 2012-2016) There aren't as many opportunities as the schools in Charleston, but we also get way less money than them. I loved the renovations until the principal painted the entire wall in the cafeteria red. The wifi isn't the greatest. Though not all teachers are great, there are a handful that are absolutely amazing and I'm honestly surprised they haven't moved on to bigger and better things at better schools. The heating/AC sucks, though, especially in Baker Building. The breezeway is a pain to cross, especially in the winter when it's absolutely covered in ice and the school doesn't do much about it. It's also difficult to get to classes inside of five minutes if you have to cross the breezeway, which means you often don't have time to stop at your locker or go to the bathroom. There are two breaks, but it's still not enough, it seems.
