A super legit record store on Magazine Street in NOLA. They have a turntable you can use for listening which is really cool. They had a live Marvin Gaye record playing when I came in. I found some awesome singles from the 80s and got them for a great price. They have a huge selection and the staff is really helpful! NOLA Mix Records rules.
My favorite record shop in Nola. They sell a good selection of records and cassettes at fair prices.
Iconic store! They have a nice variety of records, merch, and music related gifts. I saw some tiny record earrings that I'll probably go back for at some point. Definitely a must visit if you are in town for a few days.
Very relaxed environment and great selection. Asked for shipping so I didn't have to worry about bringing vinyl home on the plane and got them in a timely manner with a tracking number emailed. Awesome place.
Great selection of vinyl records here and next to some delicious coffee shops. Large selection of New Orleans sounds. Surprisingly, there were plenty of Latin records salsa, meringue, which are hard to find even in New York. If you're an audiophile and vinyl collector, make sure to stop by here on your way to the garden district.
Sure packs a punch for as small as the place is! Stupendous vinyl selection, a rad t shirt rack, and a knowledgeable, friendly staff. Plus any place that sells local musicians' stuff deserves lots of love!
What a fantastic gem of a shop. Lucky enough to stop through here during Jazz Fest. Scored a very rare Record Store Day release and Ben helped me get it shipped to a friend as a gift. Another friend scored a long sought after hip hop 12" and we were impressed with the local releases too. Get some!
This is a fantastic local record store. I stumbled in doing some shopping down Magazine and fell in love with the selection. It may not be a surprise they have a wide collection of NOLA local artists, soul, jazz and R&B--it's much deeper than your average vinyl store. During Jazz Fest weekend, a wonderful Surf Rock band was playing in the back of the space. It brought me in off the street and I of course had to add their LP to my stack. Best part of all: I was able to easily ship all my new treasures home safely for under $10. Much easier and safer than carrying them on a plane. If you're a vinyl collector, you absolutely need to make this part of your NOLA trip.
I am from Dallas Texas. I visited this place while exploring N.O. This was one of the best experiences I had in N.O. The owner was super cool and helped me get a reggae record that is hard to find. They also have one of the coolest N.O. shirts you will ever find. I just the love the vibe of this place and highly recommend you check it out. If you live in N.O. and have not visited, fix your life and go today.
The perfect record shop! Great soul selection and new finds put out frequently as well as many many singles. This place is perfect for djs, collectors, and new vinyl enthusiasts. Owner Ben takes time to connect with guests and help find items suited to their taste and offers up some grade A New Orleans music history and information. The amount of support for local music is evident throughout the shop and in the character of the employees. Store is super organized and priced fairly, be prepared to leave with a stack. It’s definitely a record shop but also just a superb hang. I look forward to stopping by and throwing on a single or talking with local artists. If they had food I’d probably never leave. Well worth a trip.
